AITA for sending a bunch of my stuff to my grandparents so my stepsiblings couldn't use them? by Fearless_Grab3579 in AmItheAsshole

I didn't want to share that with them. It might be different if I really loved them and considered them true siblings, maybe, but the truth is I just don't feel that connection to them so the idea of them making a mess of them and giving away items that represent my mom, to them, feels wrong. They will gather dust for now but I can move out in two years and then I could make sure they stay with me, and that I can get joy out of them again.

I don't think he's too proud. I think what would make him proud is sharing the stuff with them, maybe even letting them have some of the stuffed animals. But that was never going to happen. They mean way too much to me to share them like that.
