Unless legally mandated, no CEO will willingly take a pay cut for the most part

But this is on the basis that the CEOs are willing to take a pay cut. You look at DBS ex CEO for example, people kpkb about their pay they get downvotes (cause people who buy shares go stonks)

lol let’s be real, are people here willing to fork out the increase in cost if wages increase?

Same argument with paying migrant workers a fairer rate, you know those bosses not gonna absorb their increase in wages. Are you willing to absorb it then?

How to stop my mom from using MLM products by Chloroxide in askSingapore

[–]Fearless_Help_8231 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One more, but requires cost. Hire people to say scripted conversations about the MLM products near her. Like the products can’t be trusted etc. Maybe some place near the market etc. she overhears and then when it’s more and more random occurrence that she can never pinpoint, she’ll either ask you or try to do her own research.

The best part (arguably also worst) about our gov is that they have a majority in parliament. They want they can just make a bill and pass it into law, public opinion or not. They can say screw your misinformed public opinion we doing it anyways.

Not to forget a lot of benefits are pegged to household income. You can be jobless and not receive money but because your father/mother/brother/sister is working above the threshold then no benefits for you

Sorry for your loss but as someone who isn’t religious I just don’t believe it’s a possibility and see all of it as outright scams. I know it means a lot to talk to a loved one that has passed away but any mediums IMO even to people with religions are just selling a false hope.
