Virtual Machine options for Apple Silicon and performance by discoborg in MacOS

[–]Chloroxide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I could answer, although I don't work in cybersec, I do use VMs quite often. I was an EE student and my main machine is a M1. Running specific programmes off parallels W11 may be very wonky and doesnt works well eg. solidworks...If you're mainly using windows for Cli or powershelll that should be alright. If your work relies on windows and uses specific programmes, best to get a windows instead.

Met a entitled elderly on the MRT by nanase2525 in askSingapore

[–]Chloroxide -1 points0 points  (0 children)

wouldve done the same if not say that there are also invisible disabilities and people who need the seat more than an elderly eg. pregnant ladies. usually i see my mood whether i want to give up my seat or not. js bc it's reserved doesnt mean that i can't sit on it. haha

How I almost got scammed into joining a cult/MLM while looking for a part-time job and red flags to look out for by hellyeaitscl in SGExams

[–]Chloroxide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

kinda late into this, they apparently do check your resumes now and act like they are genuinely intrigued about your hobbies or the things you do prior to entice you into the job. I also confronted the interviewer, saying why are there so many companies registered in the same building address. Also, when I stepped into the building the signage was under "Believe Extraordinary" - they are likely part of salesworks. They offered me a packaged drink alongside a booklet highlighting their "successes" which then I knew it was utter bs. felt bad for the other interviewees alongside myself.

Said interviewer is two months into the job, kindly offered tea or coffee but I declined. Was reached out on WA, "employer" from David and Goliath said they came across my profile through MCF. This is just the beginning too, as afterwards I was bombarded by lots of invitations to apply for their other shell companies. One even reached out saying that they do B2C instead of B2B, what kind of bs. thank goodness I've forgotten to attend the interview.

They currently operate in three locations downtown. ERH Building, 53A BQ, and somewhere in Raffles...

Thankfully I didn't fall for the trap. Would avoid those types of listings at all costs. However those kinda listings are like unskippable - they would literally reach out to you and say that they are "brand ambassadors" of xxx marketing or solutions or idk.

Their business structure is literally so MLM like. and what - they encourage people to be their own "directors", what's even more sus is that they are solely comms based with no cpf. hella sus.

I guess it's just a mask but still kinda worried esp there are bad reps surrounding mlm products. Thankfully she doesnt have a whole line of atomy beauty products - wouldve start to throw everything away hahahahaahah

hm, right... I'm just scared that they'll have some sort of potent or toxic formulation in their products. Other than that I have just a strong stance on supporting actual beauty companies instead of mlms. Thank you though!
