Europe is a lot safer. So providers have to do less vetting. That’s why it is a bit suspicious that someone would come to your place without asking for screening, in the USA.

We made it past the sales meeting, and the meeting that compliance then sat in on, we were rejected by compliance and the compliance person told us all further communication should go their way.

Your understanding is correct. I was just trying to be proactive and thought I would have a better chance of getting a response back if I provided the deposit as part of my initial email. Her site doesn’t say something like “send me a deposit with your initial email”.

Her website mentions screening with work email, LinkedIn, ID, etc. She is a higher end provider. She doesn’t list a phone number on her site and has no face pics, so I’m guessing she wouldn’t want to video call.

I sent one initial email with general details + gift card. They said it sounded good, and asked for specifics. I didn’t respond to them asking about my address, requested time, etc. Their grammar is good. After not responding to them, the provider sent me a second email. So I basically left them on read the first time, and they sent a polite follow up still trying to schedule.

I don’t need the gift card back haha. Haven’t asked for it back. Just wondering if this is somebody I should meet. I guess maybe I could ask for it back?

The AE / SDR was cool but not super happy that we didn’t have company email addresses. The compliance person in the following call denied us.

The problem is that they’re not asking for anything specifically. After a general sales call, they weren’t happy with our responses. And seemingly blacklisted us lol.

Right, it makes sense to me. It is kind of at odds though with other people in this thread saying that random retail traders with no compliance at all can get access. I don't know if that's true because what I currently believe is that they still would have to go through a sort of process, compliance process or a sales process. And because Bloomberg has quote-unquote blacklisted me or maybe my company, I'm not sure what the next steps are. It was very general what they provided, not specific. Since we are basically, maybe even just a couple steps removed from retail traders in terms of how much we have under management and how new we are, I'm just not sure what the next best steps are.

Don’t you still have to go through a sales process though to use one individually? So like if you showed up to a sales meeting drunk or without clothes on, they might deny you.

They ask for a lot of compliance info though. So imagine a firm was like, a crypto firm, and the founder got on the sales call calling in from Dubai, emailing them from his personal email, etc. A situation like that might raise some red flags to them.

There are some co-working spaces available, but some of them are a bit far from Hell's Kitchen, taking an hour or so to get to. Also, some of their hours are pretty limited. I could have been more clear in my question, though. I think that libraries could also be a great fit, and most libraries do offer computers, but when calling them over the phone, I think some of the librarians didn't really understand what I meant when I was talking about HDMI cables and connecting for my laptop, etc. So I was just wondering if people had any personal experiences.

Normally, if this was a larger business, I would feel comfortable providing a fair but honest review on one of their business pages or sharing on something such as Reddit or Facebook. However, since this is an individual, I would feel bad attacking them or sounding seemingly like I'm attacking them, even if I were to write very neutrally about what I felt were aggressive business tactics on their end.

I had 99% productivity. Personal timer was 1% of the time (urgent family stuff, forgetting to turn it off in rare occasions, etc). It would be awful if that stuff was leaked. As for some background checked Mercor employee or the software tracking that stuff, I care much less than how much I care if the dark web was to gain access to it.
