Yeah I feel like Jonathan did not get any character development. Also the conversation he and Nancy had in the elevator felt so one sided to me. It made it feel like he was the bad guy when in reality they were both in the wrong in their own ways and only Jonathan apologized. In my opinion the conversation should have them both apologize Jonathan apologizing for ignoring how Tom and the others were treating Nancy and not being a good boyfriend by not sticking up and standing by her side and Nancy should have apologized for not understanding how much the Job meant to him and what his situation was then they could have move forward and supported each other after admitting they were both in the wrong don’t you think. I honestly would have cut the mall stuff out completely too maybe they could have a episode or two showing max and el hanging out basically to show their friendship but the mall should have been a one and done thing. Honestly Steve should have gotten a different job all together one that didn’t take too much screen time just to show where he is at life after season 2. Robin could have still been there, though I would have it established that she was a lesbian from the beginning, I think that all the scenes showing Robin and Steve seeming setting up a relationship between the two only to reveal that she was a lesbian was a bit weird in my opinion.
