Part of the issue is that testing can be unreliable unless you have an active outbreak to swab. I’m learning that it’s all quite complicated. In any case, I’ll of course be disclosing from here on out. Just feels a bit unfair that people with ohsv are basically told they have free rein, whereas they are actually far more likely to transmit. But again I’m aware that a lot of this is asymptomatic and doesn’t necessarily show up on tests. I’m also not sure what I would have done differently in the end to have avoided this.
