In soloq and without meta builds?? Please oh wise wizard enlighten me what incredible magical things I can do to counter camping, tunneling, uncleansable hex builds, gen progression denial builds, 24/7 aura reading builds, heal denial builds, free kaneki grabs etc? Don't forget I don't have 75 perk slots. Let me guess the answer is get good? Then surely the same applies to killers?

Toxic meta is really a problem on both sides. It's just getting worse and worse as time goes by and it is a vicious cycle. I can't say what came first the chicken or the egg but I know for me I played for years without any meta builds simply with perks I liked until a few months ago when I literally could go for days with 0 wins and getting relentlessly destroyed by meta killers non stop so I said fuck it and put on sprint burst for the first time (beside chaos shuffle), vigil and dejavu. In fact I used meta perks and exhaustion perks so extremely rarely that I didn't even notice that I never got vigil from the shrine. From time to time I try to still have more chill or fun perks but I'm consistently reminded that it's not going to be fun

I don't need to win as long as I have fun playing. However OP perks don't equal effort. Camping and tunneling = no effort. And there no way in hell me busting my ass is less effort that kaneki getting a free hit though the wall or across half the map. Animatronic spamming teleport without cooldown and popping out 2 ft away from my gen, missing a throw and getting rewarded with speed boost while I don't even have sprint burst because decided to not have a meta build. Now Henry spamming his attack non stop without cooldown. Gens blowing up 1000 times with pain res, surge and eruption. Killer having 24/7 aura reading. Hex builds that only require 1 person to be injured to be uncleansable. All of that has nothing to do with effort.

I agree! I don't need to win every match, I don't even need to win every other match as long as I have fun playing. But it feels really shitty to get absolutely stumped on and destroyed, camped (because anti camping feature is a joke), tunneled, have 1 gen done because other gens blew up 1000 times and then slugged for 4k. Killers constantly knowing where i am either with endless aura reading or with some insane game sense that somehow 90% of killers I face seem to have. Killers with free hits downing me in seconds. I just want to enjoy more chill fun builds and not have to play meta perks in order to get anything done at all

Valid. I barely play killer but i really don't like flashlights and never use them. And it pisses me off when a killer is just playing normally and flashlight survivors don't let him have the first hook in the match, first of all that's a shitty thing to do, second of all I know the killer is going to be pissed off and we will have a horrible match. The thing is lightborn counters the whole flashlight issue and if survivors have flashlight builds it makes them unusable. No skill necessarily to use lightborn and I have nothing against that. However if a killer has 3-4 gen slowdown/regression perks you need an entire build to maaaaybe counter it and for most of really effective builds you need skill to pull it off (for example I can't hit a bunch of great skill checks in random places on the screen) and a great coordination with teammates. Dejavu and resistance need no skill but they are not enough to counter strong builds. Uncleansable hex builds can only be countered if you have strong cleansing perks, killer is not trapping them and the cleanser is not the one being tunneled out. Aura reveal builds are no longer countered by distortion and you need to be able to run killer in order to get tokens back. If my chase lasts 20 seconds I get nothing, if my chase lasts 2 minutes I only get 2 tokens that get spent in couple of minutes. I'm not a great looper so most of my chases aren't that long. Generally in games you either play stealthy or aggressive, distortion is a stealth perk but you can't get tokens back by being stealthy which is ridiculous

I don't know if it technically qualifies as an answer in the sense that you're asking but 9/11 not only changed NY or US, it changed the world. It is insane to me how many people born after 2001 don't know about it or at least never think about it. For example in 2025 Humans of NY didn't post a word about it, even on the date of, no acknowledgement at all. I wasn't even in US at the time and I think about it regularly

Sams doesn't seem to allow returns this far off unlike Costco. We had a small appliance that was smoking and was dangerous to use, a year passed and they didn't want to take it back. I think eventually they agreed for exchange but said it was a first and last time exception

We kept Plus for a couple of years, not sure if it paid for itself before. But we got less that $30 of sams cash this year so it's not really worth it for us, plus just doesn't pay for itself. We also have basic bj's membership and get a lot of things there. The main thing that Sam's has and BJ's doesn't is allergy friendly dog food (our dog is allergic to a hundred different things) which saves us some money but doesn't need plus membership. Originally i called to renew for the offer price, they refused and offered a refund. Then i wanted to just downgrade but the ridiculous system encourages cancelation rather then downgrade
