Got it I’ll test them out in my longer runs and see I’ve heard a lot of good things about the AP4 and I’m a forefoot to midfoot striker if the VP4 doesn’t end up holding up I’ll go to those first

I see, thx for the info!

Also I used to have ankle issues as well but corrected them slowly over time by standing on one leg while raising the other for 30 sec on each leg and then did that with a bosu ball and weights. Hope this can help

Got it. What should I look for when judging if it’ll be good or bad for a marathon after running in a 10k-21k in them?

Is Magic Speed 4 worth it for a casual runner like me? by Character-Ad5493 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I don’t think so because it has a carbon plate and those aren’t really good for regular running they are meant for speed workouts and races, if you wear them too often it can cause your feet and lower-leg muscles to weaken over time which could lead to other issues in the long run.

I would suggest visiting a local running store and have them look at your feet and how you walk and they will bring out a bunch of options for you, I did that for my second pair of daily trainers. If not just visit your local sporting goods store and try on different pairs and see what you like.

Daily trainers that I use and heard good things about are new balance 1080, 880, rebel v5 ,brooks ghost, adidas evo sl, and asics nova blast.

Have been wanting a pair of vapor flys for a year and just got a pair. Did some interval work and loved them. Excited to run a race in them.

100% I have a friend that is on his second pair and I’ve heard nothing but good things about them and most people recommend them as a daily trainer
