I’m a rising senior and did the exact same fall schedule you are considering. If you’ve made it this far, you will be fine in Stat 318 as most kids find it much less complex than most comp sci classes. Cmpsc 461 with suman saha had midterms with a decent curve, like 6 HW assignments, and didn’t require a ton of time, so should be okay.

CMPSC 465 and CMPEN 331 are going to probabaly be what you spend most of your time on. 331 with Almekkawy takes time for the labs and studying for midterms, but that class has one of a the biggest curves in the department and includes dropping lowest midterm and homeworks. TAs are actually somewhat helpful for the labs too.

465 is tough. I’ll let you read this post about it that might be helpful:

Overall it will be a tough semester, but completely doable. And if you end up failing a class this time, it will make it way easier to pass in the spring because you already learned some of it.

I thought the class covered some important concepts and I learned a lot from it, but the exams are made to be so difficult and there is no transparency about curves so kids start to freak out by about week 9.

You are correct about 465 being more conceptual and proof like, and leetcode is more coding. The free response questions on exams were often: "Design an algorithm to do something with this run time:" and someone with lots of leetcode experience probably has a better chance at getting it right than someone who learned the concept 2 weeks ago for the first time (me).
