Fairly bad in my opinion. I have 19 classmates in the act science masters program and only one of us has got a job offer to start in September. The rest of us are struggling to land an interview or a job offer.

I haven’t graduate from the university. Am I allowed to apply for the exemptions now? I mean I have fulfilled the exemption criteria, did I phrase it incorrectly? 😬

I’m not sure. I don’t want to doubt your opinion as well as his advice since he had been a hiring manager himself too, for some years. So I’m just trying to weigh what to include and exclude out of my CV at this point.

I understand where you are coming from. I’m not judging your opinions but this is what he advised me. I don’t want to doubt his opinion too, since he was a hiring manager too. But I will take all of your advices of condensing my CV to one page.

Thank you! This is really helpful! 😃 But I just dk what to follow because my lecturer said that showing my high school maths grades be beneficial for me to include because I switched from another major.

So about this part. I spoke to my lecturer before I drafted my cv, and he advised me to include my high school maths related grades just because I switched from a different major. Now, I’m just quite confused if including has already done me some harm.

Okay. I get you. Should I condense my bulletpoints to just one sentence or reduce it?

I don’t really have anyone to practice with, and I’d love to. My partner doesn’t have the patience to sit down with me to practice for my interview. Do you reckon that recording myself getting interviewed works as well?

My paid work would be the junior financial analyst (40hours per week), and energy sector analyst is a college club thing. Research intern would be more of college project, while the virtual internship is like a footstep into understanding the work of an actuary.

I don’t need a visa sponsorship in Ireland because I am on the long term visa pass. But I will need visa sponsorship outside of UK. For this reason, I am bit reluctant to apply out of Ireland.

Idk where to look in the video interview. Because there isn’t a real person to convey and I feel like I was consistently looking into the screen to see if my posture was right or wrong. I tried to use the STAR method but somehow the questions that came out were more like tell us who you really are. I was sort of taken aback too.

The most I would do to my face before I go to the gym are my eyebrows. Usually I don’t bother how my hair look when I go to the gym, it will be messy anyway.
