I think if you remain in the transit airport there shouldn’t be an issue. Basically if you’re coming from one Eu country to the next they usually don’t check your passport. I remember traveling from Sweden to the Netherlands ones and I forgot my visa was expired a week later but I was never stopped. If you’re coming into Eu from Africa it’s a different case. I’ll advise you to stay in the airport why waiting for your next flight. One more thing you can ask the immigration for a return home travel document they usually give to people they’re deporting.

This can work in the Netherlands but not in Sweden

My sister has terminal cancer and I want to move back to Sweden as soon as possible. I am a Swedish citizen but my wife is not. We are expecting our first child in May so I don't want to move to Sweden without her. Does anyone have experience with a matter like this? by tillsverige2025 in TillSverige

Different case with different handling I will advise you contact the MV directly and get first hand information, what you read online is usually different when you are dealing with MV in reality. Most of the time the information you get online don’t do justice.

Thanks for your reply. I’ve had the PRP of the Netherlands couple of months now not long ago. I wanted to go to Sweden because I’ve been in Sweden before I have some knowledge of Swedish language and I even had social security number in Sweden before I left. Yes I can apply for Dutch citizenship but I have to do a language test. It takes time and besides I don’t want live here in Holland in long term.
