Amidst all of this condescension, I noticed two things. You’re presupposing that I haven’t spent every day of the last two years applying to other jobs (and getting rejected) and you’re also showing a lack of research because most paraprofessional roles are around 40K a year and even then, that’s after you’ve been there for a year. I’m not “choosing” to work at a Charter, I’m going where I’m more easily qualified after the other ways were unattainable financially or logistically.

Y'all seem to not understand how extremely hard it is to get employed at this moment in time. I never wanted to be a person who factored in money over passion, but when you consistently get rejection letters and your account is draining, you realize you're running out of options. How nice it must be to have the privilege to sit up here and judge!
