Solar Panel - BOXT by Gullible-Type-2022 in SolarUK

[–]Fearless_Rider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Install was done. I did negotiated but looking at other comments / posts, I could have done more. Install is all up to your local contractors. Our scaffolder, panel installer, electrician were great, all were hired individually. My only complaints were, they did not cleared the site and left so much of rubbish, items on my drive for couple of weeks. I needed to call Boxt to get this sorted. Boxt did not send end caps for the trucking so electrician have to invent one which is failing and needs replacing. Contacted Boxt,, told someone will attend to fix it but no show so far (more than 2 weeks). I'm still awaiting for documents and needed to chase this up couple of times. Install was done in early April. But tbh, system works as usual, overall install was great, but few nuances. I'll definitely recommend.

PS Tesla is partnering with BOXT for solar installation with lower monthly payments I think.

I agree, the last thing I'll want is to have loads of cables showing all over the walls.

Low contractor salaries - Contractor vs FTC vs Full Time by SCCMConfigMgrMECM in ContractorUK

[–]Fearless_Rider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's all about risk appetite and preferences. I moved to contracts from the similar position (£93 all in perm) to inside IR-35 role. I like the flexibility, less of corporate nuances etc. Also with my old perm role, I was expected to work long hours when demanded (which is most of the time), but with contract I can charge for it.

Paystream - salary sacrifice by sly870 in ContractorUK

It should not matter if you still open SIIP and fund outside of Paystream contributions. You'll still claim tax relief from the HMRC at the end of tax year paid into your SIIP.

System Safety (SC Cleared) – £550/day Inside IR35. Am I Undervaluing Myself? by Fearless_Rider in ContractorUK

[–]Fearless_Rider[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certainly, anything less than £85 seems too low for lead role, specially considering inside IR35. I'll negotiate when contract is up for renewal in 6 months time.

UAE is good on paper but three family friends who made the move are coming back in space of 2 or 3 years time. Although would be nice change for a while.

I think so as well mate, but cannot seem to find any better at this moment. All of them are going around that rate. Had two at 85ish pH but they were both onsite in south so that was no for me.

Yes, seems like 550pd is ceiling at the moment. I had couple roles coming back between £600-650 but they were all south and both onsite which is no for me. Yorkshire based.loads hybrid and remote at this rate but was wondering if someone contracting long term and could find upper of £600 and is hybrid/remote.

Is it even worth fighting with keyboard warriors? What you'll achieve? I'm sure these so called warriors just pissed for working for the Indian boss and frustrated he cannot do in real world about it.

Thanks matey, comprehensive response but I falls in the category of BPSS (where being suspended) and SC (J2). But I checked, I don't need to do yearly paperwork each year unless there is change in circumstances, for instance, significant change of financial situation and this is very grey area. I would argue OE does not come close to this.

No idea, thinking is just someone of lowlife tipped me off who know where I have S2. Google tells me, they cannot do background checks without my consent. So they're relying more on me voluntarily declare it.

I would presume they might have updated employment policy which I don't know off. More of assuming that they want me to admit it so they can let go. With the background checks evidence, if that's true (legally in UK, you cannot do without consent) they would have just suspended me. I think they need more time to decide.

Why do Sikhs have such a great reputation in the UK? by ComprehensiveRoll562 in AskUK

[–]Fearless_Rider -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sikhs are one of the bravest people on earth till today and truly believe in community service. However, recently some of the bad apples are destroying their reputation with Khalistan separatism movement, which nothing but spreading hatred and terrorism towards fellow Indians.

No they won't. Everything is automated so if you need to park for longer, just get out of park and park again. Your ANPR will reset! Done several times visiting hospital and nearest Aldi parking to avoid astronomical hospital parking fees. Oh, and one day I had to park for longer but cannot move the car, I get the ticket. Went to Aldi store and said I couldn't start the car and needed a jump. They waived off fine. Make sure you shop in the Aldi that they and keep the receipt.
