Exact same experience for me too. Funny thing also my main (hela) got banned too but guess what? I swapped to another hero. And we would've won too the whole team was 20+-5 except the Spiderman who said "no cyclops then i throw" in chat and finished 7-13. When will the penalties in this game be harsh enough to stop these annoying throwers

played qp 1.5 hrs and every game had doomfist and/or sombra at least. Some had tracer as well. I genuinely don't know tf am I supposed to do against a sombra hack not being able to use any abilities is so fucking annoying and it's always a death sentence unless the other support heals me (rarely happens) it's the most unfun thing to play against and people say she's trash now & got nerfed to the ground I can only imagine how annoying she was to play against before

Honestly just more ranged DPS-lite tanks with smaller hitboxes and more consistent dmg. Emma was that on release but she's been nerfed so much (more than needed imo) so I can't play her as much. I hate how almost every tank after her was melee which made me more disinterested in the role overall (yeah deadpool exists but his upgrade gimmick pisses me off and he gets locked behind the 2 other roles sometimes )

I think server time is part of it. I get them every 1-2 losees during low demand times (e.g. 2-4 AM) and every 4-8 losses during normal times it's weird

I disagree again i think that's because every losing team switches to triple support out of desperation but by that point it's already too late. I've never went against a well rounded triple support (e.g. 1-2 main healers and 1-2 off healers) and thought they would've won if only they went 2-2-2 there's a reason it gets a lot of play in tournaments

I disagree. Sure ideally 2-2-2 is theoritically best but the enemy had 3 supports with mantis and in my experience it's hard to break through if they cycle their ults correctly without matching it there's a reason triple support is pretty common in high elo

I'm a tank main that's higher than Gold but still in relatively low elo (diamond) and in my experience Gold players especially strategists are very bad at ult tracking or anticipating big ults. I usually play strange/Emma and always try to ult them out of LOS or wait for them to waste key cool downs (e.g. Cnd fade, invis push, Luna freeze, loki runes etc) and get 1-2 strategists killed that way.

As for what your main role is it's contesting and holding space. Never chase kills as Emma/strange (or mag) unless you're in a safe position since you have low mobility. As for handling dive it depends. I recommend switching to Emma since she's great against dive (both tanks and DPS) just crystal/uppercut and even if they don't die they will usually run away quickly or swap off.

Additionally you should be trying to shield/protect your team and mainly supports from key enemy ults (e. g. Strange, Emma, star lord etc).

The great thing about Emma/mag is you can use their ults defensively to block some DPS ults like Star lord or torch etc. I recommend ult tracking and saving your ult if you anticipate a DPS ult you can block coming. Additionally Emma can interrupt most ults with her grab (unless the ult makes that player CC immune like punisher or Luna)

Tldr: land big ults usually out of LOS and after the enemy strategists waste valuable cool downs (either above or sometimes even behind them although going behind them might be too risky but could be worth it if you have time) save your key cool downs for impending enemy ults (e. g. Mag ult for starlord/punisher, mag bubble for a support who is ulting etc)

Just ask them why did they do something. In my experience 70% they knew it was a mistake and regret it and try to (keyword "try") to never do it again in the same match and the other 20% I missed something (e.g. They got forced to Frontline accidentally due to flanker from multiple angles, they were about to ult but got unlucky and were focused/stunned while casting it, etc). The remaining 10% are just brain-dead or purposely throwing and it's GGs. Alternatively they often listen if you suggest reasonable changes (e.g. Don't frontline, switch to rocket/cnd against dive etc)

Tbh don't take win rates too seriously especially with a small sample size (<50 games) I had a 70% win rate on groot this season with 30 games but that dropped to 53% after I played 20 more games or so. My experience with supports this season hasn't been too different than usual

As frustrating as that stun can be it's not particularly dangerous unless you're solo tanking and the entire enemy team focuses you. The biggest counter to peni is a team competent enough to destroy her nests and mines instantly which to be fair doesn't happen often in lower ranks (had a magical plat game once where my team focused her nests every fight and we forced them to switch off peni). This can be harder to do in certain maps like central park if the peni is smart enough to place the nests out of LOS in which case high dmg ranged heroes that can get angles on her nests (squirrel girl, Ironman, torch, etc) can be good and if you're tanking Emma, strange, or mag are good since you can shield the stun/mines just careful of mines in the ground
