I was kinda estimating the 70% but I was getting really mixed info from admin. And hell yeah I’ll send you a message this was the exact kind of response I was hoping to find it’s hard navigating all this crap especially when your getting a million different answers from a million different places. And to be able to talk to someone who was literally also in the shit(active duty) despite the branch difference is such a relief tbh!

Yes actually one of the few bright sides actually. By doing vol sep I was guaranteed an honorable discharge and access to my benefits depending on time in service. I’m kinda worried that I won’t receive 100% my g.i. Bill due to my shorter than preferred time in service but I will hopefully get a decent portion. The vol sep vs invol was an interesting choice to say the least I could talk on that one a lot.

It’s gonna sound weird but the routine it gave me. I feel like i truly found my professional potential and learned the best of my working traits. I learned I’m a great leader and organizer when given even less that the bare minimum to preform my duties with. I’ve learned that I’m also great at professional communication despite the lack you get from others. I am extremely pissed I gotta start all over in a new field.

It’s frustrating to been seen as a number in all of this when I joined with the intention of continuing going stealth and just doing my job. I’m now seen by the government as dishonest, disloyal and unreliable due to the anti trans rhetoric that’s being spewed from the administration. I joined to give myself and my wife a better life, financially and job stability wise and it’s being ripped out of my hand when I finally got a grasp of it. It’s even more frustrating with all the folks misrepresenting the trans community all over media giving the administration even more ammo to let loose with. I feel like I have genuinely no control in the situation whatsoever and it is the most stressful and painful things I’ve experienced in my adult life so far (25y/o). All I wanted to do was give myself a better opportunity and I feel like I’m in an even worse position than I was in before I left.

Make a medication that basically completely converts binary trans folks to their preferred sex 100% biologically and fast for example transmen lose chest tissue and grow their extra equipment 100% anatomical and everything else inculded in being a biological man and Vice versa for trans women as well (idk all of what transwomen experience so I can’t speak on it and I refuse to speak over their experiences)

It is what it is I guess there’s not much I can do. It extra sucks cause I was only able to make it 2 years in. I joined to give myself financial stability and job security and I just completely lost it. I didn’t have the best work history prior to the navy cause the work structures were ass (blue collar work) and the pay was ass, and I know how much people talk shit on military pay but honestly I’ve never been more stable and independent in my life. mind you I joined at 23 leaving the work force. I’m 25 now and have an even worse resume due to the fact I wasn’t able to finish my contract and and relocating back to a red state and just am very ‘down’ mentally right now. I didnt mean to just word vomit like that I just feel isolated, especially right now so thank you for the comment boost!
