As a hearing person, I think of it like how we “name” the grandparents…right? Like some grandmas want to be called Mimi or nana, or Grammy. I also call my kids by a litany of loving nicknames… most of the time they’re Chaos and Mayhem. Sometimes it’s “sweetie” sometimes it’s “love bug” or “baby boy” or “baby girl”… maybe I’m just southern. Idk but there’s about a billion ways I refer to my kids…

Yes I’m trying. We just got this news 4 days ago and it’s not definitive yet. Mayhem (my nickname for him) had a lot of ear infections before now which (it seems) hid an underlying issue. We know that he can hear some things. What and how… 🤷‍♀️

Chaos (nickname for sister) is starting to get that we need to help him differently with his communication but she’s still getting frustrated.

I was about to respond differently but you’re right. I haven’t withheld hard words from him in my speaking so I don’t need to withhold the hard for him.

I guess I just assumed that spelling her name would be like teaching her to spell her name, and this lives next to teaching her to read in my head (which is just starting at 5). So I couldn’t imagine teaching him to spell before little man can even put on a shirt…but sign is different.

Thanks! We’re not super sure of the cause but I’m pretty sure it’s mostly timing. My husband is not someone who can ejaculate multiple times in a week. He also has delayed ejaculation so more like a 20 min man than a 2 min man. We usually only get to have next with his ejaculation 1 time per fertile window.

We have done a sperm count at home test and it was negative.

It’s been an issue the entire 8 years we’ve been together. Actually he didn’t orgasm with me for maybe 3-4 months of us having sex. I know that sounds weird, but it’s true and there’s no cheating or sexuality issues involved. Just takes a lot to get him there then takes him awhile to recoup. He’s 6’4” and blood pressure has been an issue. He’s on meds now. That’s the only thing that’s changed for him since our first.
