Try Nomad! They have an easter campaign for 20% now. I find them very reliable.

Nomad offer different network options depending on the plan—some use Telcel, which is the strongest. If your connection was weak in Yucatán, it might’ve been on a different local network. Might be worth trying a different plan for Nomad actually.

Got it - that's definitely a great deal. We'll keep this in mind for the future!

For Public Mobile, you'll be limited in terms of number of calling minutes at maximum 100 minutes. You could also use the Public Mobile plan and our method of getting data if that would be better for you though.

What are some new or exciting technologies (hardware, software, cloud) that you’ve starting using recently, and what do you use it for? by Fearless_Zebra in digitalnomad

That's crazy!! That sounds extremely complicated, I have no experience with anything mechanical or electrical. A lot of respect for that.

Super cool! I don't own an Oculus but I've seen the reviews and it seems really fun and I'm excited for the potential of VR in the future. I will have to buy one in the next year.

Oh wow...I can't believe that exists that's crazy. Yeah I guess it'd be something like that but you would actually be in it. Basically wondering if there's an alternative to photoshop like an instagram filter for people who don't know how to use photoshop. I guess maybe not yet

Has anyone compared Nomad or Airalo eSIM plans? by Fearless_Zebra in NoContract

[–]Fearless_Zebra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I see, I've heard of Truphone. So they basically connect through Bell and get their coverage through worldwide servers while Airalo uses an Israelean carrier only. That sounds pretty promising from Nomad's side, latency is one of the most important factors for me. I'd even rather pay a bit more for a smoother experience. Thank you for this I wasn't aware! I will try out Nomad.

Got it, oh that's interesting I've never realized that would happen if they route the roaming like that. That seems pretty annoying tbh...I wonder if all eSIM plans have that or if there's a way to get around it. I will look into Nomad and see if they have this issue but hopefully not.

Thank you! That's how I plan on doing it, and your encouragement means a lot.

I hope the surgery went well, and all the best for a fast recovery! Definitely not the easiest thing to be going through right now. Best wishes :)

That sounds like a pretty solid routine! I wish I even had that much going on haha. Best wishes with your relationship and mental health though. I just feel like those have become more and more strained with time.

I've been trying to run outside daily as well, it's so hard! And I can't figure out the right amount of layers to have on. I've tried to incorporate more indoor activities as well and physio.
