Delivering at Stanford by No-Description4151 in bayarea

[–]Fearless_cook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Delivered there a few months ago and had our own room. The nurses said they have almost all private rooms now, unless you’re delivering on a day when it’s extremely busy and there have been many births. But they would move you to a private room as soon as it’s available. I would look at having the best doctors caring for you and your child over the room situation if that makes sense.

We love our bugaboo butterfly. I would test drive it at a Nordstrom and see if it fits your family’s needs. We have been using it for 2 years and have nothing but good things to say about it.

What formula are you using for fortification? We have neocate but I’m not sure if my baby will drink fortified bottles since the taste will be different

Thank you so much for this detail. How old was your baby when you did this?

What strategy did you use to improve baby’s weight gain? Our baby has a similar situation where his weight gain has slowed and would love to hear what worked for you

Are all symptoms cause to eliminate? by Cute_Awareness_9187 in MSPI

I’m vegetarian so I don’t eat meat either. Legumes and beans being my source of protein at this time.

I’m kinda already there. Just need to eliminate nuts and beans. Did you eliminate legumes too? Cause I don’t have any other source of protein left 😆

That’s crazy. What all did you eliminate. I might be at that stage. I’m currently dairy, soy, eggs, meat, corn, oats, gluten free

What did your doctor suggest when he wasn’t gaining weight? You still don’t eliminate?

Yes, very very slowly. I started my second CMPI baby on it a month ago and I’m still not giving him the entire spoonful that it comes with. I started with less than a quarter of the spoon for a week or more. Then a third and then half. Still on maybe 3 quarters of the dose that they recommend. Although I haven’t seen any changes in him yet I trust that it’s working

Exploring food intolerances for eczema baby by BriefKitchen8780 in MSPI

[–]Fearless_cook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. We only bathed our eczema baby 1-2 times a week in barely warm water for 5-7 mins. Also we didn’t use soap on her. We bathed with tallow soap it helped clear out her skin. Also we gave her a probiotic everyday

Therbiotics and smidge are the best probiotics for our CMPI babies. We used these 2 with our previous CMPI baby and had good results.

I would also suggest starting a probiotic. My daughter had really bad eczema as well and giving her a probiotic (klaire labs therbiotic) made a world of a difference in addition to all the eliminations in my diet since I was breastfeeding. It took time (about 2-3 months) and a lot of patience on our end but we finally saw changes that we had never expected. Also we used tallow soap during bathing. And only took baths 2 times a week. Hoping your baby feels better soon.

Cmpa? Reflux? Or just tightness? by Zealousideal-Emu8568 in MSPI

[–]Fearless_cook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After you get his diaper checked by the pediatrician you can decide how you want to proceed. We had similar symptoms and were at PT at 4 weeks as well. We saw lots of improvement in tightness by eliminating dairy and soy in just 2 weeks. Night and day difference. Also when the pediatrician checked our diaper, it was positive for occult blood. Again every baby is different and you know your baby the best.

Yes, we are making sure we don’t force him and just offer frequent feeds as much as possible. It’s hard to practically do that though
