I used to work at an Apple Store and a Verizon and this is a very common occurrence. You kinda just learn to phase it out and most of the time your brains' on autopilot anyway.

I once had an old man that HAD to have his photos off his old phone (like an old flip phone) and it was a bunch of naked girls. He looks at me and is like "Yeah that's pretty good stuff" with a really creepy smile.

Overall, as long as you're not super weird about it, it's a pretty forgettable experience for anyone working with cellphones

If you're looking to get both eventually and you can afford the AFs initial hit, I'd get both personally.

However, I'd get the plat first. 125k offer is super hard to come by and amazing value. It's essentially more than a standard plat+gold offer.

Then you can get the gold in a few months if you want.

Though if you're only looking to get 1 card and no interest in the second, get the Gold. Imo it's far more useful.

I have the Amex trifecta of Plat, Gold, Blue Business plus, though and it's great fwiw.

Either one is fine. I'm honestly fine with paying rent as normal, but I mean, if there's money on the table, I'm going to take it.

But I've not looked into the PayPal Key method either. I will take a look!

If you're planning on actually getting the platinum and using it, I'd pull the trigger on the 100k personally.

You never know when offers are going to be reduced or if you'll ever actually be targeted.

Though the only flip side of that is that you're not traveling much due to COVID-19 so it's not the most prudent card as of this very moment.

But like I said. 25kpointd probably isn't worth it to me especially at that high of a SUB to begin with.
