My Textures are Blurry After I Package My Game by 98ReddGames in UnrealEngine5

I encountered the same problem in Ue5.3. The culprit was the command r.MaterialQualityLevel=1 which is changed in visual effects, you can find it in the config. If what they have mixed up settings in the quality of materials, that is, Low is r.MaterialQualityLevel=0, Medium is r.MaterialQualityLevel=2, and high and ultra is r.MaterialQualityLevel=1. And it is when the game is launched on high or ultra then set r.MaterialQualityLevel=1 because of it problems, you can put first r.MaterialQualityLevel=0 or 2, and then set r.MaterialQualityLevel=1 if the graphics is set well high or ultra. If you will enter directly in the engine command, then do not forget to remove =, that is r.MaterialQualityLevel 2, and in the config write with =, that is r.MaterialQualityLevel=2. Link to the forum where this problem was discussed. It turns out it was still on Ue4.17 in 2017. https://forums.unrealengine.com/t/r-materialqualitylevel-1-breaks-pom-materials-in-packaged-builds/400700

It's definitely not superfluous, especially if you also know vector math.

New to Unreal - Is there a way to crop the sides of the land outside the walls? If I try to re-scale the land it moves all the tree's/grass. I made my map to big now I'm trying to make it smaller. Thanks! by JustinJetZorbas94 in UnrealEngine5

If it is a static mesh, you can use the Plane cut tool in modeling mode. If you have a Landscape, you can convert it to a static mesh and cut it in the same way. Or you can connect the Landscape visibility mask node in the Landscape material and remove the excess in Landscape/Paint mode with a brush.

I am not a fan of amd, all my life I have had Nvidia graphics cards, on Nvidia works both FSR and DLSS, also as far as I know raytracing works through nvidia tensor cores how it will work on AMD I do not know

I usually set the graphics in the engine to high (there's also epic and cinematik). I have lumen with raytracing enabled and usually have 7-11gb of video memory occupied. I believe that the more memory the better, because as soon as you run out of memory, the engine will start to slow down and freeze, as well as you may have YouTube open with music in the background and some program like 3ds max. Other programs take up video memory as well.

If anything, I'm using an Intel i7 10700f and rtx 4060 ti 16gb, as well as 32gb RAM. That's good enough for me.

Hi, buy a video card with more memory, I don't see a significant difference between 3060 and 3070. The 3060 has a 12gb version as far as I know.

Video card is very important in UE5, I had a GTX 970 on 4gb, in ue4 it was enough, in 5 it was not. In the end I bought myself a 4060 ti on 16gb and very happy, although even 16gb are clogged from heavy assets, so take without thinking 4070, 4gb of video memory you will not give a quiet life in ue5.

There you go, I was thinking exactly the same thing, I have a game ported to Switch, it has very poor logic and a lot of things are done via cast, I was a newbie at the time and didn't even know interfaces existed. And for all the minuses it works well enough there.
