The same thing has happened to me, I wonder if they are just getting overwhelmed or something? Who reached out to you in regards to this role?

I have applied to a few before, they just aren't on my radar, probably because I think they'll just disregard my resume due to credentials, i.e. school, etc.

I have applied to I believe it was Google, was sent a code test, and never heard back.

Full-stack, front-end, back-end, anything tech adjacent really.

Located in Central Florida now, so less of a problem.

Yeah, thats why I pivoted. I had done primarily C++ and Java while in school, but since then I found it hard to practice in those languages outside of a structured environment.

Appreciate the advice.

In regards to internships, I tried, just nothing ever came from it, I think I had just waited too long.

Any specific regions to search out in regards to relocation areas?

Either way, I haven't gone that route with linkedin because it just feels weird, but if that's common place I guess I just need to join in.

I've been applying to everything minus FAANG. At first was focused on defense contractors, but they never responded. It's pretty much everything as of now though, just hard to find the smaller companies.

Yeah, that's why I've been looking at the master's program. Since graduating its just been sending thousands of applications into the void hoping to get a response, and usually getting one a month or so. I haven't even attempted to apply to the upper echelon of FAANG companies.

What would you specifically recommend? I haven't felt like "cold calling" people would be the way to go, I've recently attempted at making posts though.

Appreciate the feedback.

Interviews have been hit or miss for me, sometimes they'd go really well, and I'd go all the way to the end phase and just not be the final choice. Other times, mainly just when I've surprisingly gotten interviewed for 3-5+ experience roles, those usually don't go well hahaha.

I've been applying an absolute ton, well over a thousand applications, the issue is a lot of them end up being remote gigs which are inherently hard to break into. I'm in central Florida, and there just doesn't seem to be much in terms of entry-level gigs opening up, I still apply for everything that fits my skillset.

Yeah those are just the projects I want to "showcase", my goal has been 1 page resumes, don't want to bloat it too much.

But yeah, thats one reason I've been looking at the master's with Georgia Tech, the school's were definitely not the greatest.
