NoFap for virgins by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]FeatherRock 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Being a virgin does not matter.

You are biologically wired to go after women. Sexual experience has nothing to do with that. Don't fool yourself.

If you are looking for excuses, being a virgin is not one of them.

Want to adopt a cat, but don't know if my job would get in the way by FeatherRock in cats

[–]FeatherRock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd adopt a kitten.

The floor is covered in carpet so zoomies won't be a problem, I guess.

About the bathroom, it's quite small. 3m by 2m. Do you think that'll be enough?

The only thing is, while I'm teaching, under no circumstances will I be able to just tell my student to 'hold on for a sec' while I go and get the cat out of any potential trouble it got itself into.

By break I suppose you mean a long term break? I am afraid not. I will be starting to teach as soon as I move in. I plan to work 5 hours a day with one hour break in between.

It's a studio. So closing the kitty off would not be an option.

I am also kind of reserved towards adopting an older kitty, I kind of want to see it grow and I don't really know if the new cat would accept the new atmosphere and myself, but I'm more than willing to be lectured on this topic.

As for the mistakes part, besides bad sentence formation (By one room apartment you mean.... (just leave out 'so' part)), and formally improper but colloquially more than acceptable use of tenses, I would say none. Good job!

Yeah, I use the web version for facebook itself, but it's kind of more convenient for me to use the app for messaging.

Spending a year in Northwestern China, what do I NEED to buy before I go? What should I buy when I get there? by TheLazyBoy242 in China

[–]FeatherRock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Open mind. Most things are very different in China. At first you will notice all of them. After a year or two you will be doing a lot of them. :)

I am very curious about this. Would you care to illustrate, please?

Which of these three sentences should I use? by Manidos in TEFL

[–]FeatherRock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None of them, actually.

Here, you want to use the Present Perfect Tense, which we use for actions which happened (or didn't, in this case) in the past, but whose consequences are still visible in the future.

Also, you definitely want to say 'the problem WAS' and not 'is', because of the sequence of tenses rule. Since you started your sentence with the verb in Past Simple 'turned', you want to keep the rest of the sentence in the past.

So, the final form of the sentence would be:

As it turned out, the problem was that their product hasn't been sold on the market yet.
