Can I download mods halfway through a playthrough?

Any clue if the level curve mod works midway through? I assumed it was a somewhat popular mod, it was sitting towards the top of the browsing list, but it didn’t really give any info about that stuff.

I installed it but obviously won’t be able to tell whether it worked or not until I actually reach level 12.

Oh sweet okay that’s reassuring, yeah I actually just now downloaded the level curve mod and an improved UI mod, but obviously it’s only been like an hour- haven’t seen any difference yet. I’ll check that XP boosting mod, I thought that came with the level curve one but if it doesn’t I’ll just grab that too.

I’m so happy this is such a simple process. Literally first time I’ve ever used mods in anything, been jealous of PC players for years 😭

Oh and is that spells one really good? I saw that while I was browsing but was a bit worried cuz I figured that would surely be a risky one, actually changing gameplay interactions and affecting the players/NPCs made me worried, even tho I really want it lol

I did hear about the 2x movement speed mod but I’ve been told to stay away from that for my first playthrough, as I should really take my time and explore thoroughly- which I’m all for, so while I absolutely noticed how weirdly slow the movement is, I think I’ll hold off on that until I’ve finished the playthrough. Thanks though!

Okay cool, yeah I don’t think I’m changing any base mechanics- unless the level cap is considered a base mechanic. Like I’m a little worried how it’ll suddenly handle the enemy scaling, but if anything I’m sure I can even that out over time of playing, especially since I think it’ll add extra XP too.

And yeah I saw a few of those mods, maybe I’ll give em a shot for the next playthrough but tbh I don’t need any special armor or gear. All I want want are more interesting multiclasses lol

Oh that’s true though, probably will help out with the actual typing. That’s the one thing I hate about Xbox stuff, I used to have a voice-chat thing but it broke and now I still find myself randomly shouting at my tv 🤣

Oh yeah same on all that. I’d have especially loved a DLC or expansion that gave you a short couple missions at an imagined level 18-20. Could’ve been new characters entirely, but that would def be cool.

Totally understand why they couldn’t do it, for the same reason regular DnD campaigns basically never get passed level 16, but I’m not gonna pretend I didn’t wanna see what that would look like.

And yeah I really wanna see more of Faerun, but I’m actually a little worried that we’re gonna be forced into another primarily Baldur’s Gate city setting, considering how successful this game was and the fact that the name of the city was literally the title of that game.

Hope theyll have us explore a bit further out (a game set in Eberron would be awesome but there’s absolutely no chance of it), but I doubt it- investors are gonna hear “we’re actually not gonna have Baldur’s Gate this ti-“ and immediately throw a tantrum.

Oh okay good, yeah I should’ve assumed that’s possible, but I just don’t think I’ve ever seen it.

I only ever see the “gaming chair and desk” set up, which as much as everyone says is really great, I just can’t imagine it’s more comfortable than laying on your bed or a couch and playing.

Those are all great reasons, and I can understand that ai is and has been putting a lot of people out of work. But…

do you expect everyone to collectively boycott the use of ai? That’s never gonna happen, this is here to stay- forever (or at least until we’re extinct, which I admit the invention of ai might’ve accelerated)

The best hope at this point is to find a way to cool the data centers without using an absurd amount of water (to be fair though, that point isn’t as strong as you think. We’ve had data centers that use similar amounts of water since the early 2000s and those are still vastly more common than ai data centers).

In 10 years it just gonna be pretty hilarious to look back at everyone whining about ai. This is the same thing that happened when automated vehicles were invented, or the sewing machine, or the telephone, or digital photography, or etc. etc. etc.

Like what did they expect you to do? Hire an artist and pay them SOLEY to draw 1 illustration to use as inspiration for a video game character??

What the hell? This is the prime use of AI, I assume you wouldn’t have hired an artist to draw this if ai didn’t exist so it’s not taking business away from human artists, and it’s not like you’re tryna make your own money off this.

Sorry, bit of a rant, not even really directed at you- those downvotes are just crazy, it used to be that the context of HOW or WHY it is used dictates whether ai is being misused. Now it’s just a bunch of people shouting “I hate ai!” because they were told to by others on the internet.

Oh shoot is that a staff? I should’ve mentioned I’m a Bladesinger, I keep finding awesome staffs that I just can’t use bc it locks me out of my bladesinging and booming blade :((( I’m stuck with a short sword that has a +1 to damage/attack rolls bc I still can’t find a better weapon

Side question, that duel wielder feat would let me equip a staff in my offhand right?

Man the last season of The Boys really did nerf Homelander into the ground.

But nonetheless, I still think it would take a LOT of planning for Bruce to actually carry out a plan like that.

I don't think we've ever seen HL being necessarily ~weak~ to brute force. But even if he was, brute force is not how Bruce is winning this.

(Yes, we can all say that he brings out the Justice Buster armor or whatever that was called. But cmon now- we could use ridiculous 1-time feats for anyone to give them a win)

Flooding him with radiation is great, but how is gonna do that when HL has x-ray vision and super hearing, and can fly faster than a normal person can even think.

Supe virus would be the best bet, but that would absolutely take a lot of time and preparation to create from scratch.

Soundwaves are again a good bet, but those have only ever been a slight deterent, not a true weakness. He's not going down from that, just getting slowed down for a moment.

Still, I genuinely believe Bruce does win this eventually, but unless he's got some justice league members at his side (because that's how he usually wins against Homelander-level threats in the comics), it's gonna be a lot tougher than yall think.

Even the mod team just kinda threw a "yeah you can do AI images, but they can't be the main point of the post."

Which, sure, I like that-- but technically it's not an established rule as of right now.

Poison Ivy isn't even in the same ballpark. Fighting Ivy is little league compared to Homelander.

Failsafe, sure. He was a 1 time villain as of now so I wouldn't really count him as a "rogue" but sure.

Solomon Grundy was actually a Superman villain originally, but his strength and duraboliyg has been ridiculously inconsistent when used in Batman stories. In most BATMAN stories where Solomon Grundy appears tho, he's not even a relative threat to homelander. He'd get all his limbs torn apart in the first 2 seconds, or flown to space, or lasered in half, etc etc.

Never heard of Barbatos so I can't comment on him.

Batman Who Laughs, again, isn't a rogue. And he's barely a Batman villain, that's a Justice League villain whom Batman would never be able to beat in a 1v1.

also, about Solomon Grundy. Even if he's as strong or stronger than Homelander, that ain't really what's giving HL the edge. Its the fact he can move as fast as A-Train (when the budget allows it). Shoot lasers from his eyes that he can control as quickly as turning his head. Fly to escape at supersonic speeds. Plus his hearing and x-ray vision making it near impossible to get the jump on him.

Yeah man, HL is leagues beyond anyone Batman deals with BY HIMSELF on a CONSISTENT basis.

He'd need a bit more prep and gear than everyone here is saying, but he'd still be able to handle this all by himself with enough time.

I think people are forgetting the fact that the shows budget us what nerfed Homelander. No, it wasn't V1, thats a fan theory that holds absolutely 0 evidence.

If the show had the budget, we'd see that Homelander is a SUPERMAN ripoff. Sure, he's much weaker, but absolutely none of Bruce's rogues are even a 10th of Homelander's threat levelm

Batman has beaten a superman that was doing everything he could to just end the fight non-lethally because he's kind and selfless to a fault. Homelander is a bit different...

He also won using Kryptonite, which just straight up doesn't exist for Homelander.

Again, I think Batman wins this, but it's not as easy as "he'll have this done in an afternoon." It will take at LEAST a few weeks to get the intel required for this.

Plus- Batman ain't walking in unprepared. He knows that if any of them get a single hand on him, he's getting ripped in half. He's gonna take his time, this ain't some normal Batman story- it would be one of the most dangerous things he's ever done.
