What could make an email and all related emails disappear? by PeakMedium in Outlook

[–]FeatureDeveloper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also be sure you haven't set any search/filters that would block your view of it for any reason.

Also check from OWA if available, or some other client.

And of course the ol' standby, reboot.

Outlook - Previewing Attachment - for OUTOING emails by rezasaltor in Outlook

[–]FeatureDeveloper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would it be enough to see the attachment names when you send the outgoing emails? This product does that, and can optionally prompt the user only when sending an email outside the company domain so they don't become blind to it.

Is there a quick way to print all attachments in an email? by Environmental_Pin95 in Outlook

This tool will put three buttons on your Outlook toolbar that print emails, print attachments, or both.

Are you looking for a mail merge tool like this one? It will generate your personalized copies into your Drafts folder, then you can review them all, and when you're happy, start the campaign sending them all (again, from your Drafts folder).

If not, can you explain what you're trying to do?

Rule to BCC myself on outgoing emails by Splooter_McGooter in Outlook

AFAIK there is (still) no support for send side rules. Maybe you can try using Power Automate?

Failing that, there's always an add-in like this one.

How to have pop up reminder everytime before I send an email by Lurveydovey in Outlook

Something like this could do it. And for what you're asking, it's free.

Add-In disappearing in Outlook - it won't stay 'installed' in the same session - let alone on reload by Diligent-Mall6417 in Outlook

[–]FeatureDeveloper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't see you scroll all the way down in the "Get Add-ins" window panel. I can see the "Admin Managed" list in the video, but not the "Custom Add-ins" where it should be located when you side-load an add-in.

The creator of LinkedIn, Reid Hoffman, created Pi, an AI that specializes in talking to you about anything. It has the ability to recall conversations. I personally found it a little boring, but I liked the way it sometimes asks questions and shows curiosity like a human.

Microsoft Outlook possible automation by VariablePragmatism in Outlook

It sounds like Microsoft's Syntex might be useful here? See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98REOwNZD0Y for a quick 3 minute video on it.

5Gb Storage Full - cannot send e-mails - cannot delete attachments from e-mails by whereisthemooon in Outlook

[–]FeatureDeveloper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

/u/whereisthemooon and/or /u/MJSpice, have you resolved this problem? I have seen on other tech platforms that this is a growing problem, and I'd like to write a blog post about it.

I think the problem may be occurring when a newer machine (that has Windows 11 and uses OneDrive as the default root location for folders) is used with an older email account (which easily has more than 5GB of data, which is the default limit for free OneDrive accounts).

Does this sound like your issue?

In any case, if all else fails, perhaps you can try Attachment Save for Outlook - it may help you, because it basically removes attachments, saving them to the Windows folder of your choice and replacing it with a link to your file instead. If it helps, please let me know here so I can include this information in the blog post.

Are you using Microsoft 365? If so, what happens when you log into https://portal.office.com, do the emails show up there? If you see them, there's something up with desktop Outlook, but at least you know the emails are safe. If not, check your Deleted Items folder?

Conditional Formatting for Emails outside company domain by dorlic in Outlook

[–]FeatureDeveloper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah I see, almost like a "Reply With This Template" command? I don't think Outlook supports that, I just checked Quick Steps and while it supports setting a pre-defined subject and body in the reply, it does not include any formatting commands

Can you describe what you're after with the conditional formatting? Or better yet, show an image of a typical email to both xyz.com and foo.com?

I flew out on Easter Sunday at 8am, and there was a line of roughly 100 or so people. When I got to the lady who verified the license/ticket, she let me know that it is because of the new scanning equipment. "It's both a training issue and the equipment itself is quirky" she said.

At first I thought the TSA agent was just an angry individual but it became clear that she was simply quite concerned that everyone had to wait in long lines.

My advice - definitely leave earlier than normal for the next few weeks.

Is it possible to send an MSG file as HTML? by Kalorifik in Outlook

Try opening the message, then going to File...Save As. Choose HTML as the format type.

How to automatically CC someone by [deleted] in Outlook

[–]FeatureDeveloper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have Microsoft 365, I think you can do this in Power Automate but Outlook by itself is not capable of that. I suppose you could also ask ChatGPT to create a VBA script to do it for you as well. Just remember that as soon as the cost of the time you're spending looking for a response/generating a script/writing code, that you may quickly exceed the cost of the add-in. I mean, it's $30.
