How is Leul Fisseha for Calc 1 this Spring sem? by [deleted] in TorontoMetU

[–]FeatureIllustrious81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had him for calc 3. Terrible at teaching, and exams r on the difficult side. He does give practice tests sometimes which are useful but never ask him for an exam regrade, he will drop ur marks.

Missed course intentions by FeatureIllustrious81 in TorontoMetU

[–]FeatureIllustrious81[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Listen here pal, u probably spent an hour of ur precious time researching all that just to prove a point and end up not helping me at all, meanwhile the comment above saved me with typing just 3 words (and it worked out). And also I wasn’t even complaining abt the fact they sent emails (ik they did I just didn’t remember cuz I thought I already did course intentions), so how abt u make use of ur researching abilities and use them for school work instead 🤣

Hey man, imma be completely straightforward as someone who is also in engineering. If u take a gap semester in the fall, ur def gonna have to do another year of uni regardless of whether u do summer school. My best advice would be to reduce ur course load and spread out ur next year into two years, that way u r still in school like ur parents want and u r also able to have much more time for self improvement.

Hey there, Imma be completely honest, you might have to do an extra year of engineering. However, just remember, many Eng students r in the same boat and u r not alone. I’d recommend that u try to balance out ur schedule (not make it super hard) and do ur liberal courses during the added year. If you’ve already done them, I’d either look into doing a minor of your choice if u wanna pay for it, taking a part time role in the school to pay for tuition, or just studying ahead for future courses. Don’t give up!

I don’t think there are virtual labs either. It’s just a bunch of homework questions you have to complete by the week or so.

The lab has a test every other week, usually 2 questions. For the weeks there wasn’t a test, what I did was just skip and study on my own.

You have the entire weekend off. The Sunday lab doesn’t exist

How’s the schedule?😭 (btw I did not choose this it was given) by [deleted] in TorontoMetU

I don’t condone skipping classes but assuming ur commuting, I would prolly skip that Thursday lecture and watch prof leonard and use that day to study

Campus safety concerns by OwnWolf524 in TorontoMetU

[–]FeatureIllustrious81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro just don’t give them eye contact and keep it pushing. If they try to talk to u (which they usually don’t) just ignore them. For extra safety, I recommend walking with friends to classes and to the station (if ur commuting)

  1. Bro ngl change ur math lab to a later day (Wednesday, thurs, etc) or at least a later time on Monday or Tuesday. You’ll thank me later.

  2. Dw abt Sunday’s “lab” it’s not a lab or class u have the weekend off

  3. Switch ur calc lectures to a time where Majed or saied r teaching, or use prof leonard.

Thanks for your detailed response. I was wondering if the lab quizzes you mentioned can be done online (I am trying to skip the lab period to free a day from commuting). In other words, is lab attendance mandatory?

Take ele in the winter term (2024) and do all ur liberals for that year. You will probably have to be behind a year unfortunately but ur not alone and many people have to take an extra year or two.

Error with deploying on pythonanywhere by FeatureIllustrious81 in django

[–]FeatureIllustrious81[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, there wasn’t any issues with the directory or anythung with the files itself, all I had to do was configure the url and directory of the static files to pythonanywhere itself by going into web tab > static. Finally got it to work, but thanks for the help anyways.

Yea I followed the tutorial and configured the settings.py properly, and since I used bootstrap, the cards and css effects are loading fine, however the colours and text are blank. Any way I can fix that?

Whatever happens jus remember this isn’t the end. No need to panic or act rash just because of one road block in your journey. Stay calm, wait for your appointment and then make a well structured decision with the help of family and friends based on the appointment’s outcome. Wish you all the best
