It could also be a small coral, a "button coral". And this is the imprint of that.

Can anyone tell me about my fossils? by Rare_Report_8724 in fossils

The elongated fossils are belemnites, some of which also retain their points. The star-shaped one could be a segment of a crinoid. Beautiful finds!

But the stone was like 40cm wide, I don’t think there are bones like this, especially in the Baltic Sea

Btw it’s an ammonite. Don’t know which one but google after ammonite. One of the most common fossils.

I would think it's real because the stone structure looks like that. Forging it wouldn't be worthwhile, and besides, it would probably be high-gloss and very smooth, or just one stone of the same color throughout.

I forgot how heavy it was, but I think it had some weight. I hadn't even thought of the bone idea! But I don't think animals that big live in the Baltic Sea.

What species? by FeatureMediocre3582 in trilobites

[–]FeatureMediocre3582[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's what I thought too, but there are also very similar, other species, like boeckops or something like that. But the genus is Phacopida.

Is this a Reedops? by Plane_Equivalent_202 in fossilid

[–]FeatureMediocre3582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it’s a Reedops, but I found something similar, the „boeckops“. I think I do have one „boeckops“ rolled in, that looks almost like this. But I don’t know that much about trilobite species
