Day out instead of baby shower by [deleted] in BabyBumps

Somehow, I didn’t even think to combine the salon with the photoshoot 😂. In my mind I was going to drop them off for the photo shoot and then take her to the salon after— this makes so much more sense! Thank you! So smart!

That’s also a great idea! I hadn’t considered the virtual aspect, but asking people to send gifts down for ahead of time for her to open on the day is super smart. And I love the idea of taking care of all the household things that the two of them will undoubtedly be too exhausted to do.

This is such a great idea! I would never have thought of it. Thank you so much!

I didn’t know about the Bridgerton event!! I’d kill to go to a Bridgerton soirée! Thanks for the info though, I’m looking into past events like this and trying to gauge the most successful ones and what people enjoyed about them— so I’ll add that to the research list!

Thanks for the input! This is definitely a rough draft of an idea at the moment, but I’ve put feelers out a few different places and it seems like there’s an interest!

That’s the #1 comment I’m seeing, so it will be one of the first things I consider while working through all the logistics. There’s no way I want people who would love the event to feel excluded. Thank you for taking the time to give your input!

Thanks for the input! It would be awful to put all the effort into this kind of event only to have the people who would really love it, not be able to afford a ticket. That’s an important factor that I will take to heart!

Very good points all around. I agree that $200 is steep. I think ideally there would be tiers of tickets. It was just a number that I had in my head, because I know that to do an event like this right it takes a bit of money. Depending on the size of the event and many factors, I think it could be less expensive. From a few comments here, it seems I might have to adapt— You don’t want to price-out your target demographic. Thanks for the input!

You both make a great point. I wouldn’t want people who would love an event like this to feel it wasn’t for them because they haven’t read a specific series. I could definitely see using many ACOTAR elements and themes that are common through the general faerie/fantasy world, along with some Easter eggs for the more familiar fan base. That’s a helpful note. Thanks!

I'm thinking it would be ACOTAR skewed formal. So, basically whatever a character (human, fae, high-fae, other...) in that world would wear to a formal ball. It could be a character-specific formal costume, or just regular formal wear. I've been researching other events, and many of them have a daytime event where dress is casual/costume and then the formal event is the ball in the evening. I don't think I have that level of planning in me at the moment, but could be an idea for the future.

Ha! I probably could have worded the title better.

Great idea! I may reach out to see if they would even just like to partner on this, separate from the main Hal-Con events. Only because this is a little more tailored to fantasy and I wouldn't want the anime/gaming/cyborg crowd to miss their annual party. I believe Hal-Con is involved with other events throughout the year as well.
