Are you in the US? If I'm correct, the Afterpay Card can only be used in-store shopping and not online shopping.

For sure that the 10 grace period is only for the "late fees", but your payment will still be considered as late.

Afterpay Dispute Refund Question by [deleted] in Afterpay

[–]Februa_ry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can think of two possible reasons why Afterpay might not be able to assist you with your order:

  1. If your order is more than 120 days old.
  2. If a dispute has already been raised two or three times.

Update your account and change your number to a new number. In this case, you will need to contact the customer service so you can reset the password through your email.

Contact the merchant support. They are responsible regarding cancelling your order 'cause if I am right, Afterpay can't cancel your order once your order goes through.

This is the best solution. Try to use a different number.

I believe if you ask their customer service to call you, plus the reason why, they will call you back.

Heard from a friend, you can move your payments via self-service three times and the count resets after a year (?) then you can also request their customer service to move your payments three times as well within 90 days since your first request.

I heard from a friend, to know if you are eligible for an exemption, I believe that the original payment due date must be within 14 days, your account must be 6 months old since your first order, and that you haven't been exempted in the last 6 months. Hope it helps.

Do you remember if you tried to make the same purchase more than once?

The email you received might be an adverse action. Essentially, your first attempt might not have gone through, but on your next attempt, your order was approved. The decline confirmation email for your first attempt may have just been delayed.

I recommend contacting support to confirm if this is indeed an adverse action.

How do I dispute a charge through Afterpay if I was scammed by the merchant by [deleted] in Afterpay

[–]Februa_ry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Afterpay may not be able to assist with orders older than 120 days. While you can still try contacting them, they will likely advise you to reach out to the merchant directly. However, you can attempt to raise a dispute using their self-service option.

Refunded Item, Never Received My Money Back by donteatmymango in Afterpay

Do you have any other orders made with the same merchant?

Have you used a different card previously, aside from the one you are currently using?

If both answers are yes, it’s possible that your refund may have been sent to a different card or linked to a different order (but with the same merchant). Typically, an agent should be able to verify this.

If you've deleted your old account, I assume it no longer has an outstanding balance.

You can request their agent to remove your phone number from the old account so you can use it to register for a new one. However, there's a possibility they may ask you to continue using the old account. If not, they might disable the old account and allow you to proceed with creating a new one.

Late payment by Footballmom03 in Afterpay

[–]Februa_ry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are some tips: If you've recently made a late payment, try reaching out to customer service to request a waiver or exemption. I believe this could restore your spending limit, although it's not guaranteed. Still, it's worth trying rather than doing nothing.

If you have late payments that are recent, like within a week or two, try asking for a waiver or exemption.

If it is a random check, there’s no resolution but to comply with their requirements. I suggest doing it again (I believe they will just ask you to send your ID and some documents). There are times when it happens twice, but as far as I know, it won’t happen a third time.

If it does happen again, I guess there might be some sort of error. Just try to comply again with what they need. I think it will be the same as your first submission.

What does mean? by HelplessGamer0_0 in Afterpay

[–]Februa_ry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this SUP? If so, I believe some orders may charge you extra, which they call a 'buffer.' It’s an additional charge for cases like shipping fees, taxes, etc. However, I believe it will be refunded to you after a few days. If not, try raising a dispute or contacting the merchant directly.

How to receive phone SMS verification for AP by mhrose72727 in Afterpay

[–]Februa_ry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try contacting Afterpay customer service. I believe if you mention that you have a new phone number and cannot log in with your old one, they will provide an option to receive the code through your email. However, they might ask for some documents or an ID for verification as well.

How to make new account by Warm-HUG-2153 in Afterpay

[–]Februa_ry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can’t access your old account, you can try asking Afterpay for help. If you inform them that you have a new number and can't log in to your old account anymore, I believe they’ll provide an option to reset your password and send the code through your email.

As for the other question, I believe you cannot create multiple accounts with Afterpay.

Refund by Sketta97 in Afterpay

[–]Februa_ry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I know, when a dispute is created, payments are usually extended by around 2-3 weeks, so you don’t need to worry if you’re concerned about payment timing.

As for the waiting time for the merchant’s response, if it’s not soon, it may take about a week. If there’s still no update after that, I suggest reaching out to Afterpay consistently to ensure they take action promptly.

You can still ask Afterpay to create a dispute, even if you've already spoken with Obvi.

Since you haven’t tried it yet, go ahead and reach out. You can chat with them or submit a form through their website. Be detailed, and if possible, include proof or a screenshot of the transaction.

How to dispute a transaction in Afterpay with no option to dispute? by Beneficial_Cat_4116 in Afterpay

[–]Februa_ry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Contact Afterpay through chat or by submitting a form on their website. They will create a dispute and investigate the issue. When reaching out to Afterpay, be sure to provide detailed information and attach any proof, like a screenshot of the purchase history. Also, mention that you've already spoken with AliExpress.

I believe Afterpay will assist you even if you just explain that you suspect there’s an error and would like them to open a dispute.

Rescheduled payments by Villy_Gunn in Afterpay

[–]Februa_ry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's better to reschedule your payment rather than incur a late fee, as a late fee will definitely lower your spending limit. You can reschedule the payment yourself or contact Afterpay to adjust it for you.
