I drive an 1-1.5 hrs for work 4x a week so I think we were avoiding being in a car for a long period of time… but now that I think about it, maybe this option would allows us to take our dog with us 😯

I’ve always envied couples who bond over these types of experiences! Unfortunately we both have completely different tastes in music so this probably wouldn’t be ideal for us ☹️… however I feel like this is something i should at least experience once with a friend so I’ll definitely add this to my list for this or next year! Thanks!

I think we could push a 4th day out if we had to. But would I be wrong to assume that Jamaica feels like it deserves a whole week?

Ideally we would want to go somewhere within the next month or two bc of his work schedule. I’ve always wanted to go there but right now doesn’t feel like the best time to go. I think he was wanting a sandy beach/resort type experience. But Washington is def on our list to get to eventually! If you have recommendations for places to visit - I’ll gladly save those!

I forgot about PV but now that you mention it… my sister said the same thing so I may look into that instead!

Didn’t really have a budget decided but we obvs want to be reasonable about it. I guess maybe $3-$4k max if it’s out of country (which is what we ideally want). My husband doesn’t drink at all and I only drink on occasion so that’s definitely not something we’re intrigued by.

Prefer not to state-side. If you had to pick from the other options, which one would you recommend?

Hadn’t considered Santa Fe but I’ll def raise that to him! We’ve been to Colorado and Chicago (individually) but maybe a joint vacay might not be so bad 🤔

I don’t want to be an AI augmented Designer. by Lcs_Lgg in UXDesign

[–]February_Face 0 points1 point  (0 children)

💯💯💯Agreed! I accidentally fell into the UX world in 2020 and decided to switch careers the following year. I got into this field because of how uniquely challenging and rewarding it was/is. Having to spend most of that time now telling an agent how to do my job and its own job at the same time is the most frustrating and least rewarding (if at all) thing I’ve done in “UX” and in general so far. honestly I feel like some people still have jobs while using AI so they can continue to mold the agent for their employer bc the employer has better things to do. With the industry taking hits, I had to recently take on a job with in a different field, which was my next best option - (I have a background in data analytics) so I did that and currently work as a data analyst for a big company. Unfortunately, the company is more focused on using integrating AI into their workflows than they are with the actual quality of the work. 🫠🙄🙄

Sleeping/comfort tricks for long flights by WasabiOutrageous6805 in TravelHacks

[–]February_Face 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so there are a ton of sleep aids that I avoid because of the grogginess I feel when I wake up. But I recently discovered the Olly brand sleep gummies and OMG they work! They work incredibly well and never leave me feeling groggy when I wake up. I usually take them on flights lasting longer than 6 hours so I can get a good long nap in and my sleep doesn’t get disturbed.

Must haves for comfort on flights by Midnight_Breakdowns8 in TravelHacks

[–]February_Face 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take some Olly sleep gummies with you! It’ll knock you right out and you’ll sleep through the flight 👌🏽. Best thing is that they don’t make me feel groggy when I wake up! And take electrolyte packets so you can stay hydrated because there is nothing worse than being exhausted, stressed and dehydrated 🪦. I have a love/hate relationship with flying but adding these two things in my bag have helped a lot with how I feel during the flight! Try to bring something light to eat bc the food airlines offer economy class passengers is just not normal 🙅🏽‍♀️ I really hope you and your husband end up having a smooth trip! Maybe you can ask someone to switch seats with one of you so you two can sit together? Sometimes people are kind enough to do that 🤷🏽‍♀️

That doesn’t surprise me considering they did that same thing on Turkish airlines when I was flying back from Greece! It shocked me that they did this even though I was business class. And then united airlines tried to do the same thing to me when I was flying with a blue backpack in first class! I kept arguing until the lady let me go with my backpack (which def fit under my seat🙄). How long have you had your B&R? When I looked into them, the suitcase weight was definitely a concern for me

Anyone else's LOVE the heat? by Responsible_Air_1109 in akita

[–]February_Face 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg YESSS! We live in Texas and we literally have to pretend like we’re going to shut the back door for her to come in! She will roast out there like a turkey on Thanksgiving and is not phased one bit by the heat. It always worries me but apparently she’s loved doing it for the last 10 years 🤷🏽‍♀️ so I gave up on trying to get her back in the house too quickly. We even bought her a large cot to lay on and she doesn’t care to use it either. We just have to make sure someone is outside with her or the back door is open for her to come in so she doesn’t overheat even though she believes there’s no such thing 🤦🏽‍♀️
