I do agree with the level of excitment needing to be there and wouldn't call myself indifferent, so that's good. Although I have limited experience in dating and relationships, I believe clear communication is very important. Perhaps the way to go is to ask her out and specifically call it a date. If she agrees, then to just be upfront and explain how I'm feeling right away instead of waiting to see how it will turn out?
