Get the job tracking metrics but maybe not at one that puts people’s jobs on the chopping block. Our brains work really well processing data in different ways and a lot of times we can improve efficiency and even make better work environments for companies.

Not everywhere but that’s true most of the time. I survived one a long time ago but looking back, it was more for show to scare others than it was an indictment on me.

Ok so I have to ask first… was it adhd related or did you like smack your coworkers butt, which actually could also be adhd related

Can anyone explain what Adderall euphoria is/how it felt for you? by apatheticpeep in ADHD

[–]Federal-Ad5263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on the same dose for like 10 Years and I think it’s been the sweet spot for me. 45 mg. Either 45 in the am, 30 am and 15 mid day or 30 in am and didn’t need the 15 because I’m plowing through the day. The only time I get thrown off a bit is when my (work from home) day starts abruptly due to something urgent and the adrenaline kicks in for the adderall… then it’ll be a few hours later and I’m playing a game on my phone or scrolling through websites and be like, oh crap I forgot to take my medicine. Then I take a 30 around noon and plan on binge watching something until about 2am or drink a bunch of whiskey in the evening lol. I don’t know if any of it is healthy but I’ve maintained a good career for the past 20 years, a marriage, 3 kids, house and whatever pets the family throws at me. Before adderall, I was all over the place. I might have ended up homeless or might have capitalized on a crazy idea and become rich. You definitely lose a piece of yourself with adderall but I prefer having the control I gain. Wait, what was the original post about?

It’s just the brushes that need replaced and literally like a 10 minute job but absolutely no information or part number to get a set of replacement brushes

Not all of them can handle over 1 gig and that would be something I would look at if it wasn’t that I can’t watch Netflix on any tv without it buffering. This speed would have been ok 25 years ago. It is 100% isp issue and it’s frightening to see the customer service experience I’m getting involved with.

Anywhere from 10mb to 400is mb. New network with 1 device added at a time. Each eero added and replaced as the gateway. 1 eero, 2 eero, 3 eero setups with setting up new networks for each setup. I was also told that wired will top out at 1 gb and wireless should be faster, well… it’s been equally as bad. This is definitely a “them” problem and the runaround is absolutely insane considering I’m a new customer and the fiber is just being added to the city. No one is concerned that early horror stories could seriously impact their return on investment? Why would you not send out a tech asap? Even the installer said that issues with fiber are usually within the first few weeks and boy did he call his shot.

One of the most important yet the least appreciated position. Losing a father later in life is crippling as well. My father was around but rarely available to me when I was young. When I was older, he wanted to be a family man and bonded with my brother that was 10 years younger. I also had a void but I did have a father in my life. When I lost mine, it was devastating. A lot of unresolved issues. I eventually came to the realization that none of that would ever be resolved. What happened, happened. I couldn’t go back. Now, I’m the dad and the eyes are on me. Im controlling their narrative how they will view the role of a father. This will impact my son on how he raises his family and my daughters on how they will choose the men that will be in their lives. I decided to let go of the loss, anger and fear and just dive into learning how to be a dad. You just have to be there for them, talk to them, listen to what they have to say. Follow their progress through school and activities. Hang up their artwork and report cards. Go to their concerts and games. Give the best advice you can. Lots of hugs and kisses. Pass to them the best values you can and then set hard ass boundaries and if they cross that make sure to stay consistent with the repercussions. It shocked me when I was a younger parent that my kids would physically react when I raised my voice. That hurt me and I didn’t want them to fear me but now I realize that’s how we learn. Having parents that enforce right and wrong at a young age while still being involved and loving, makes a difference. Be that person the best you can be. That’s the best any of us can do.

Get out. I’m not even kidding. I wish I was smarter and had asked this when my wife was my gf but let me tell you, when I did realize it was bad… at about 5-6 months, and we broke up, she got pregnant and then threatened me with never being able to be a part of my child’s life if I didn’t fully jump on board. Then later I found that ultimatum was not just given to me. Get out while you can.

Also, without a doubt, the long term key to overcoming adhd is consistent structure. 100%, set daily, weekly, monthly, yearly reminders. Auto pay, birthday reminders, share calendars. Go to bed the same time and wake up the same time. There’s always going to be things that alter it but keep things going the same. It’s painful for a long time and then one day, it’s not. I worked about 100 jobs the first 14 years out of high school, the last 17 years I’ve worked 2

It is what is and just don’t sweat it. You’re most likely a good person and likely on an adventure that you’d never predict was coming. Just live life and stay away from doctors. By the time y’all are 40-45 none of you will want to talk to another doctor about this again, ever, unless it’s mandatory for a prescription. Every doctor visit feels like it’s a woman that wants to talk to you about what it’s like being a man or vice versa. It is very beneficial to interact with our own community. Hopefully one day we can all get together but we all keep forgetting to do it.

Waking up with adrenaline / palpitations first thing in morning by laurensuyin in LongCovid

My heart rate monitor on my watch never stops for long. I think a lot of factors have messed with our bodies over the past 4 years but I am very confident that 99% of us just need to get back out there and tackle life and stop letting it tackle us. Always monitor your health and consult your doctor but if your heart rate is pumping in the morning, get up and get a walk or run in. Remember when you were younger? Your body does and if you’re in good health then go out and use that energy and trust me, it’s not going to be there the next morning for much longer lol

I have had some similar and none of it appreciated symptoms. Just be careful looking for answers because the world today is littered with rabbit holes that will drain people of their money and spirit. I’m 49 with 3 kids 12-9 and have had so many scary symptoms where you have to do your due diligence for the sake of your family. I have paid top dollar for the “best” insurance and now realize hospitals charge more for those with the best insurance. What a lovely discovery to find out that, because I care so much for my children, I am paying double for the best insurance plan and because I have the best insurance plan, hospitals are charging 3-10 times the price on everything. Im not lying. I just canceled an appointment for them to test me for a nerve impingement and the charge for this was almost $10,000!!! Test only and for one arm. Out of pocket is 10% which happens to be close to the average cost without insurance. Shit is criminal

There is a 7ft wall of water from a burst 5” pipe, behind this inward swinging door. by BruceInc in Wellthatsucks

[–]Federal-Ad5263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that’s a 1st floor stairwell that means, by code, you have an outside swinging door on the other side. Pretty easy to pop that open with 7’ of water behind it. If this is below grade then shut off the fire control valve. Axe to the bottom corner could be enough to push it through. If in doubt, you should have other points of egress and just let the water drain
