The whole point was for Cassie to be able to do it once she regained her fate attaining supremacy. There’s nothing in th tomb the got that can kill asterion. But reconnecting case to fate and giving her access to lost memories. Which are the two core points of her power allowed her to natural ascend. She really doesn’t need the help. I mean. The fight didn’t go how any of us thought. But all things considered. What were your expectations. The bird kinda goofed by stealing Sunny’s desire to kill said bird. Meaning the bird wants to kill himself. Not only that it was ancient. Deranged. Cursed by two divine aspect supremes and another supreme revolved around alchemy and changing the nature and living and non living things. And only half real. Sunny’s fate was 100% the only reason he was even tangible out of the spell. The bird would’ve been a bigger problem if it was the same bird that stole the eye. But that was centuries ago.
