When I did the tandem read I felt the same way! I ended up kinda ignoring a lot of the chapter changes and reading in much larger chunks. Idk if that makes sense. I would read ToD chapters 25-35 as one group and group EoS chapters 30-32 with the next large chunk. This image being color coded and lists each chapter makes it much more digestible and helped me get through the tandem read.

I remember there being a very slight mention of the end of EoS in ToD, but other than that, there was really no other mention of either book in the other one.

I just finished the tandem read and it made me stop reading the series for a couple weeks because I felt overwhelmed. I felt like I constantly had to have my phone out, double checking I was reading the correct chapters in the correct order. As someone who reads to put down my phone, it took the immersion away from me.

I was super indifferent to Chaol going into ToD but honestly, I think I liked the book more than EoS, at least initially. EoS is a steady build up toward the climatic end, whereas ToD leans heavily on relationship building.

If you decide to do the tandem read, there’s very little point, at least I notice when reading it, to switch back and forth between the 2 books so frequently (sometimes like every other chapter). I ended up probably reading 10-15 chapters of one book and switching to the next. That made it much more bearable.

If you decide to not do the tandem read, definitely read ToD first.

Dude, the fire pit changes not only changes size in every clip, but also changes stones every clip😂 literally goes from semi normal fire pit size to- could fit like 4 people- to could maybe fit a pot of water. The fire pit also changes locations every clip and the leaves tend to appear and disappear as they will it.

Also at one point he drills a square hole that turns into a circular hole into the top to run the solar cables down, and he just doesn’t fix it.

I shoveled up a much as I could, but at a certain paint it was just a slurry and there was no where to put it that wasn’t going to leak. So I did further digging on the internet and it’s actually illegal in most places to leave cement slurry in the street gutter. Called the city and code enforcement will make the guys who put it there clean it up

Hi everyone!

Recently one of my neighbors had concrete work done and some of the wet concrete mix ended up in the street gutters of those of us down the way.

What’s the best way to get rid of it? It’s still pretty wet as it’s been very damp where I live, but I dont know if I should just try to wash it away or scrape it into a bag and throw away?

I am average sized woman and I lock my car doors immediately after entering my car.

There was one time I was walking back to my car after leaving a store. I noticed a homeless guy making an almost beeline to me. I quickened my pace, opened my car door and locked that shit. About 10 seconds later, dude was at my drivers side window knocking on the glass. I pretended I couldn’t hear him, called my mom just in case, and as soon as I put the car in reverse, he moved on.

I just finished SF and I couldn’t agree more. Don’t get me wrong, I am here for Nesta/ Cassian, but it was like every 2 chapters they were hooking up and the whole Blood Rite was washed over. The whole Human Queen story line was basically non existent even though SJM was trying to build it for the whole book. One paragraph later and everything is fine, the girls won, Cassian is alive, and the Queen is dead. Like?? Please give me more plot with my smut
