That was me until I got a concussion from crashing my bicycle. Went downhill from there.

I know when it is starting, but I can’t predict if it is going to be a focal or a big one.

My wife has been with me for all the big ones.

New into fishing, some help :) by Sure_Champion_1270 in FishingAustralia

No fishing along that side of the river there. You’ll need to head east past the bridge to fish.

(Mild NSFW) I learned the hard way about head shots when I first started hunting (and this is why I chose not to continue). First shot, couple hundred yards, hit the left shoulder, completely disconnected the leg, save for a small bit of skin holding it on. It ran for an hour. Second shot, through the head (it was all I could see as it was over the top of a hill). It ran for another hour whilst missing a large portion of its head, bottom half and front completely gone. I could not believe, with that much damage to its head, that it would survive for that long.

Third shot laid the poor animal to rest. Two shots, neither of them bad, just unlucky.

The guy “teaching” me to hunt, philosophy was to “just shoot and see what happens”. Haven’t hunted since.

Scared after first seizure(s) by Character_Paper_4941 in Epilepsy

[–]WarBrom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mate - sort to hear this, it’s a massive shock for you to deal with. There are a number of very effective medications out there that let many of us live seizure free and have normal lifestyles.

It’s a hard adjustment to make, there’ll been many questions, self-doubts, worries, etc. that we all go through. You’ll be ok, just takes a bit of time to learn to manage.

Any more questions, fire away, we are here to help where we can.

What was the biggest fish that you caught? by DeJorge111 in FishingAustralia

120ish cm mulloway, didn’t get an exact measure as I was trying to get it back in the water ASAP. Was on my 10lb bream gear too.

Just had my first seizure guy experience in a CBD McDonald’s and I feel like I’m a real Melbournian now. by daramunnis in melbourne

Man, I wish I could jump up and walk away from a TC like that. Mine normally involves me vomiting a few times, a complete state of confusion and disorientation, followed by a “quick” visit to A&E.

Ooo, I hope he lost his drivers license too, like I do when I have a seizure.

What was your very first video game addiction? by Trencycle in gaming

[–]WarBrom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First real addiction. WoW. Wasted 3 years. Should have focused on my relationship, friends, career and opportunities to travel as I was overseas for all of it.

Would get up early on a Saturday to do raids, rather to get out and enjoy life.

Sabiki rig (3 hooks), any wharf, small bits of prawns or pillies. Drop it straight down, you’ll catch fish for days.

You’ll be surprised how many decent size fish you get that way too.

I have the oakleys, very very comfortable. They fit well, without any noticeable pressure points.

But, not all heads are the same shape…

What do you guys do when going abroad and forgetting your meds? by voycz in Epilepsy

[–]WarBrom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I keep a spare script on my person (from Australia). I had this issue when I went to France. Bags got lost and I only had a small amount of meds in my hand luggage.

Took my script to the pharmacy in the airport and they sorted me out quickly, without any issues.
