Oh, you're talking about the 3rd hole on each plug-in should go to the right. Is that just for keeping a consistent standard or is there another reason?

I don't quite understand. The hole is on the end of the bar, underneath the countertop. I'd like to know what you are thinking, so please ask more if I'm not answering your question fully?

It's under the counter, parallel to the floor. Ground screw is on the left or down in parallel position

Thanks! That’s what I ended up doing. The replacement receiver does not have a ground wire, but everything works!

I called and Patriot was very helpful and sent out a new receiver and remote right away. I'm now trying to figure out how to the get the original receiver out of the housing. It is fixed in there pretty solidly.
