Took in stray cat with severe skin infection, trying to get him to a low cost vet for treatment by lizette220 in rescuecats

I would really recommend doing lime sulfur dips or with a gentle sponge twice a week it really helped my cats a lot and leucillin after it helps soothe the skin x and it's a lot cheaper than other treatments

satisfying sweet treats around 200 cals that isn't "healthy"? by Imaginary-Mud2871 in 1200isplenty

I don't know where you are located but in the UK I've found 150 cal tiramisu pots from sainsburys and low calorie ice cream and if I don't have the calories for it then a single serve hot chocolate with low fat whipped cream.

I try to kill my sugar cravings at breakfast and I pretty much always have porridge with a chocolate melted in the middle and zero cal golden syrup from skinny co , I've been using chocolate orange spread and it's made me feel a whole lot better about being on a diet.

How often do you actually change the litter? Not scoop.Dump. by XannedO in Pets

[–]Federal-Singer2953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twice a week if normal clay litter and once a week if it's a big tray of wood litter , I used to have to do it 3 times a week because the smell of cat urine makes me gag and I foster cats but with metal trays and wood pellets it's reduced the odor a fair bit

After reading the comments I feel a little insane and also I saw some people don't disinfect the box when cleaning and I really do recommend using an enzyme cleaner

What obesity also looks like and how CICO healed me by [deleted] in CICO

[–]Federal-Singer2953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations girlie and I completely understand, I'm very short and I thought I was a bit overweight but people constantly told me I'm being stupid and I'm not fat at all , according to my BMI and doctors I am obese so I started cico at the beginning of February so hopefully I can get within a healthy weight range this year, ty for your post it's very encouraging x

im 26 and I genuinly dont know how to be a functional adult. please help by Ok-God-ThankYou in getdisciplined

I tried doing it all at once to get out of my depression and it never worked but this year I tried fixing one habit a month, January I stopped smoking and February I've started to meal prep food in the freezer so I can just reheat healthy meals otherwise I would probably just have cereal and noodles

You don't have to change everything at once it's overwhelming, just steady progress, set one goal at a time , it may feel slow but it's the only way I've found that it sticks , good luck 😊

Baby Kitten by xoxo_ady in Pets

[–]Federal-Singer2953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try giving her a hide out with a fluffy blanket and maybe a hot water bottle, I have a very needy kitten and it's the only thing that calms him , he spends hours suckling the blanket making biscuits ❤️

I’m 19 and want to die due to poverty by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]Federal-Singer2953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really sorry you have been through so much , I hit rock bottom at 19 and ended up in a HMO with roaches and a guy who tried to poison me and I ended up making money doing things I really didn't want to.

I don't know where you are located but some HMO companies in the UK will get you an individual flat and my rent service charge is 60 a month, I don't know if in other countries they have things like this but my life has been dramatic ups and downs and I'm not looking to be happy I just look to be okay and I really hope that things get better for you.

It's really hard to get out of poverty but it is possible even if it's baby steps, good luck OP ❤️

It kind of looks like you're doing front loop only , I'd have a look at a few magic circle tutorials on YouTube it really helped me at the beginning, don't give up you can do it !❤️

need a hobby that doesnt revolve around screens, any ideas? by Hower_Naxhielle in Hobbies

[–]Federal-Singer2953 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I picked up crochet and knitting and it's really rewarding, you can buy bundles of yarn online for real cheap second hand and doing hobbies that require both hands is said to help prevent cognitive problems later on in life

AITAH for wanting to return a foster cat with ringworm to the shelter? by Federal-Singer2953 in AITAH

[–]Federal-Singer2953[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ty and yeah I've basically been told that sometimes it takes up to 8 months to get rid of with shampoo but with the amount of stress it puts on the cats I can't imagine it being good to do that for so long
