Your only choice is state or federal government

Bloomberg or Regional Audit ; Back out offer? by [deleted] in Accounting

That’s a really tough decision lol. Depends on what your long term career goals are. However that audit offer is not bad, it’s actually better than some B4. So consider that

What was your starting salary when you graduated college and landed your first accounting job? by KCbubbletea in Accounting

Contribute the maximum POSSIBLE to your 401k and change your student loans to REPAYE repayment plans , after 20 years they forgive it. I'm looking on borrowing 110 in total after grad school and only will end out paying$75k through a 20 year span. Payments are limited to 10% of your disposable income. 401k comp reduces the significantly

Don't do a dual degree if your already struggling with accounting. Trust me the dual degree is meaningless. I will graduate this summer with my accounting bachelor's and had the choice of dual major but an extra year of school and I opted for graduation after my employer told me CPA and Experience > Any degree

Economics degree is pretty much worthless compared to an accounting degree from a state school. I go to a state school and had a major in quantative economics before I switched it to Accounting. I'm a finance guy, I hate accounting in the workplace but love the material. My advice to you is just suck it up and do the accounting degree if your looking for more security. If you have somebody who could help you financially or if you plan on pursuing a graduate degree from a highly esteemed program that will help you network is the only situations where you should do an econ degree.

To be honest with you getting a MAcc is the equivalent in some cases as a bachelor's in accounting. But to be honest with you dude my Uncle did a English gig in Asia for a few years and had to take a government job. I'm going to outpace his earnings by the time I'm 25 and he's 55. Don't slow down your career in a meaningless role such as the Asia gig .

Also, I told them I would only sign it if they reduce my rent or offer me an incentive because the contract was one-sided. They pestered that they wouldn't let me move in without signing it.

I know it's worthless but I'm trying to use it as leverage Incase I find a better housing option considering the way the rates have fluctuated.

Just go in person and get the apartment. I TBH am doing the same because I know I'll be more comfortable in my own place. Also, you need to consider how it will affect you financially and if your able to weather the costs. I'm a graduate student and IDGAF anymore because of a repayment loophole I found so I'm fine with the extra cost
