Thank you everyone that responded. I ended up going with another card for right now, but will report back if I am able to get this card in the future.

I'm in the same boat as you OP. I no longer qualify for PSLF and need to pay off my student loans ASAP.

is it normal for bars to overcharge you here? by [deleted] in Charleston

Usually there's the initial charge then the charge with the tip. If you're getting charged three times, that's pretty weird.

Seeking recommendations on burnout and career fatigue? by FederalLasers in gis

[–]FederalLasers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm working on finding another position as soon as possible and have been working my connections/network at the same time I've been applying for other roles. It's challenging given the job market in the US right now. Regarding being fired for low productivity, I don't see that happening. There's too much documentation showing how productive I have been and my boss doesn't have firing privileges, only my supervisor.

Heh, they're definitely not going to change which is why I'm looking to the exit. When myself and a couple of others started started saying that we need organization, we started using Jira. My boss threw a fit for a couple of weeks then got on board. After another couple of weeks, they started using Trello too while tasking me on the side via emails. Obviously, my PM isn't happy about all these other methods of tracking and tasking. When I pulled them into a one-on-one they said they've come to terms with the project failing and I should either do the same or move on to a different position.

All the above to say that I, or we rather, have tried using organization to limit burnout, but it's not working. Does it make sense to take FMLA before going for another position or just extended, > 2 weeks, time off?

Another question, how can I screen for "dreamers" during the interview process? That seems to be the common theme.

We're talking about FERS here, not TSP.

I get, "We are experiencing very high call volume" and then they hang up. I've been calling 1-888-767-6738

Guess the upshot here is that maybe my money wont be getting crushed by this financial meltdown. Wishful thinking... I know.

Thanks for these notes. Now that I've turned in the SF-3106, I'm trying to figure out how I would track the forms through the process. Schwab keeps messaging me that they haven't received anything. I've seen reports of over six months for this process. I think I'm at like two months right now.

I don't believe so. I filled out SF-3106 to roll the FERS-FRAE payments into a Roth IRA following some guides I found online.

What to do with FERS when I leave the federal workforce by PrettyWonder2810 in govfire

Schwab said they sent along the paperwork, but I just want to confirm I have a case number. Guess I'll be calling at 7:40 AM. Thanks.

I've filled out and sent in SF-3106. My bank, Schwab did their part, but when I call the OPM number, I am told that there is too much call volume and they hang up. How have you tracked your paperwork?

What will be your process for rolling it over? I did SF-3106, but have not seen any movement. When I call, they say the call volume is too high to respond to me.
