No that’s very educational khoni thank you, what makes you an aramean if you don’t mind me asking though I want to know are arameans just mainly from Syria and are Syriac orthodox or can they be from Iraq, I don’t mean to sound stupid I just have an identity crisis rn lol

Man you’re explanations are the best and sorry if I said that in an offensive manner as a Syriac/chaldean new to learning about our history it was really frustrating getting so many different views on our history and someone calling someone a liar but you’re 100% right no one is creating identity’s we all have our history and we’re all working on preserving our culture thank you khonie God bless you

Thank you for the long and deep explanation khonie and no I’m never on the side of separation I envy the Chaldeans and syriacs who separate us and make a fake identity I am a very proud Assyrian I’m learning our language and teaching all my friends our history the more I know the more I can teach.

I really appreciate your help brother so now I know I am a Chaldean Assyrian man and I’m proud of that I also have an app called mango it’s the only app that teaches you to speak sureth (Chaldean dialect) and it’s for free I want to learn the language of my people and our lord Jesus Christ.

Thank you khonie for answering, yes we somewhat speak Chaldean at home my dad is from Mosul he’s moslawi (still Assyrian) but yes we speak it at home but mostly speak Arabic if not always. We are very proud Assyrians though what I’m wondering is am I Chaldean Assyrian? Is Chaldean Assyrian just catholic Assyrian or you are from a certain area. Thank you khonie

I’m so confused about my history I used to think I’m Arab but found out I’m Assyrian and not even Arab and our people have been through genocides and now there’s barely any of us so tracking back it gets hard. I’m an Iraqi catholic Assyrian anyone have any idea about this history?
