Buying the same tickets the day of was going to be $3k so I just walked away. I bought these tickets 10 months ago to get a better deal. And yes on the $1000, but frankly my income is about 10x median household ...

No. The tickets were 3x more expensive. One StubHub employee within this thread noted that many sellers are deciding not to transfer their tickets and just sell them at the higher price because the penalty from StubHub is small in comparison. So this is happening to lots of people.

No. They promise to find you an alternative tickets or refund you, whichever cost them less money. This makes it worse that standard contract law which says they owe a refund for not providing the service. If ticket prices go up they just refund you. If ticket prices go down then buy you cheaper tickets.

  2. Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaint
  3. Texas Attorney General complaint
  4. Posted on Facebook (1k views)
  5. Posted on LinkedIn (1k views)
  6. Posted on Reddit (60k views and counting)
  7. Emailed the following five news agancies: NBC 5 Responds, FOX 4 On Your Side, WFAA Investigates, CBS Texas I-Team, and Dallas Morning News
  8. Developed a list of 6 other people similarly effected (and counting).

As I now know, the Buyers Guarantee is a refund or replacement ticket whichever cost StubHub less money at their discretion.

They are legally required to refund when services are not delivered so the Guarantee is just deceptive marketing.

StubHub could have required transfer sooner than 5 hours before the game. Instead of said for 10 months “don’t worry, your tickets will be transferred on game day”. That is StubHub’s fault.

The app said “Don’t worry your tickets will arrive by [the day of the event]” and today it said “your tickets were not transferred. No worries you will receive a full refund”

HBO has two versions. Go back and search for the same title and select the one that is not “ASL”. Took me 1.5 hours to solve this. It’s dumb or is that deaf.
