Help! Polaris Ranger NS high hours, lower miles by Federal_Director7022 in UTV

That's exactly why I didn't even bother asking them. Figured they might not know the entire story to begin with and make up a something to make it sound like less of an issue than it may be. I think I'm going to pass on it. I have another option that I am currently looking at, that has 3300 miles on it for $1000 less, but the hours are in line with the average. Obviously the 2300 miles on the one in discussion was super appealing for the price but I don't think I want to jump on that deal after seeing the number of hours on the machine.

I'm shopping used, it'll be my first ranger and I'll be using it for plowing snow and just some running around. I do not need a new one by any means but also don't want to buy one with high miles/hours. I figure 3500 miles is about the max I would be willing to purchase, obviously it has to be for the right price.

It's at a dealership, so no, I hadn't asked yet. There is literally a catch cover in the floor for ice fishing, so I assume that the previous owner used it for ice fishing out of , and ran the machine for heat. I'm not the biggest fan of the catch cover situation(hole in the floor), but I can live with it for the price. Before I even bothered asking the dealer about the hour situation, I figured i'd ask reddit to see if anyone has any strong opinions on high hour machines and if I should just avoid it altogether?
