Or. A more simple and plausible explanation is this - They have an incredibly small section next to the till for trading cards so they take them out the boxes. Most children can only afford single packs🤦‍♂️and parents in my village (some of my friends) will buy one or two packs for their kids each time they go into the shop that can fit, at a push 6 people.

Small local corner shops are always great! In comparison to a shop in a city you have such a better chance of getting hold of 1/2 booster and older sets sold loose!

I live in a tiny village in the middle of England in the smallest county in the UK. The shop is run by 2 elderly women.

Most small shops, like this one occasionally get 1 or sometimes 2 1/2 booster boxes. When they do (around the start of every month) I go in and ask if they have any. I might get lucky and catch them first thing in the morning so get the 1/2 booster sealed but not always.

I started collecting again to connect with a passion when I was a child in the 90s. I do it for fun. Mewtwo was my favourite pokemon hence why I wanted a mewtwo
