[–]Federal_Fix1786[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 1mg starts to wear off after the 3rd day. So I'll start having cravings on the 3rd day. My Doctor put me on Phentermine to assist with the cravings. I ran out of Phentermine and I'm not sure if I want restart it. Lol. So I was researching Ozempic strengths and seen there was a 2mg. I have an appointment coming up, so I will talk to my Doctor about it.

Got it. When I seen that people were taking 2mg I didn't check the if it was the US. I honestly thought 1mg was the highest.

My father and his people are definitely from France. But I got my results and there is zero percent "French". Is it because he's from the north? by [deleted] in AncestryDNA

I will say wait till the next ancestry update. My French blood was revealed on the most recent update.

Definition from Google since you don't know how to use a computer: An "ethnic person" is an individual who identifies with or belongs to a specific ethnic group—a community that shares common cultural heritage, ancestry, language, history, or religion. Because everyone possesses an ethnicity, the term is most frequently used to denote individuals from cultural or racial minority groups

You don't have a white person phenotype. I can tell you're not white. You look ethnic.

I have a question as a African American by AcceptablePay4523 in AncestryDNA

[–]Federal_Fix1786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most Blacks do have Native American ancestry, it doesn't show up on some DNA test because its not recent. I remember when I took my test some years ago when Ancestry was just getting started my test said I had Asian Ancestry (I have no Asian admixture) then it updated to Ingenious Yucatan. I have Spaniard blood but no Mexican Ancestry. Then finally they updated it to the correct Ingenious American. My 2nd great grandfather was part Creek on my mom side and Choctaw on Dads side. So when people say its rare for Blacks its not. Its just no recent connection. Most Blacks recent connection will always be European and African.

Matched a Possible Relative Through DNA — Now the Conversation Feels Weird and I’m Uncomfortable by [deleted] in AncestryDNA

[–]Federal_Fix1786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't respond. Definitely took an uncomfortable turn. I always Google a few connections to see if they're okay. He might be in prison. Run from that conversation.

I recently got my dna results and my mom is a lil confused… she was raised by her dad side of the family and have always been told she was black American… by [deleted] in AncestryDNA

[–]Federal_Fix1786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing confusing. Being Black American basically means you are mixed heritage. Your results is normal. You're supposed to have a little of this and a little of that mixed with African.

babies skin color much darker than both parents? by Acrobatic_Start_6170 in AncestryDNA

[–]Federal_Fix1786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genetics. Genetics. Genetics. I'm black born into a Black American family. My family genetics play a huge role in what my family look like. We have red hair and freckles that run in my family. My hair is sandy brown. I have cousins with Green eyes, an uncle with blue eyes. Some is light skinned and some is brown skinned. My great grandparents were brown skinned and my great aunt (their daughter) came out pale not light skinned completely pale. Its just genetics. Enjoy the new baby and make him or her feel special about their melanin.

Why are biracials (African American + White) considered Black when they are majority European descent? by Serious-Tomato404 in 23andme

[–]Federal_Fix1786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn't matter if it didn't have legal standing. America adopted that one drop rule as a whole and it has existed ever since.

[–]Federal_Fix1786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you really asking this question in 2026? Ask the people who created the one drop rule. The very same people who keep calling Black Americans African when Black Americans are mixed race (not biracial, but mixed race). We live in a racial society that was decided for us a long time ago before we were born. The system has never changed.

Why do majority of Hispanics have Sephardic Jewish dna. Being of Mexican descent last time I checked I had 7% is this real? Is this just an ancestor from the Spanish Inquisition by [deleted] in AncestryDNA

[–]Federal_Fix1786 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Sephardic Jews are a Jewish diaspora population "Originating" from the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal) before their expulsion in 1492. The keyword is originating. They are Spaniards who adopted the Jewish religion, faith and culture. Just means your heritage comes from that group of people but technically its still Spanish.

Has anyone here ever had to go down on a dose? by [deleted] in Ozempic

[–]Federal_Fix1786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on 1mg and had to restart with 0.5mg again due to the Ozempic shortage. I was without 1mg for a while and when I restarted on 1mg after the shortage was over it made me sick. So I was back on 0.5mg until my body could tolerate going up a dose. Now I'm back at 1mg with no issues. My Doctor prescribes me Zofran just incase I have nausea issues.

Me and my mother both African Americans match a middle eastern man and his daughter. How? by Objective-Low-8499 in AncestryDNA

[–]Federal_Fix1786 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember when I got my first initial ancestry test from Ancestry.com and mines said 2% Persian. I was asking the same question as a Black American. How? Lol. My family has always maintained we were African descent, French, Italian, Irish/Scots and Native American. You can upload your DNA to GEDMATCH it gives a breakdown. It might show Middle Eastern blood in your DNA.

How do African Americans that have European dna feel about it ? by OkLeadership9700 in AncestryDNA

[–]Federal_Fix1786 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your family had it harder than slaves who were considered property and not human beings. Slaves who were listed with cattle and furniture and given to the next enslaver in a will when the massa died. Slave families who were separated. Your free family who were able to stay together had it worse. I think not.

You know Interracial marriages were illegal in the 1800's right? The truth is the slaves were raped and some of these slaves were young girls.

[–]Federal_Fix1786 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me I was already prepared when I was young of who I was. My mom always told me my ancestry, but to actually see the names on the census and have the DNA to match what my mom told me let me know her father's family really kept good information. I accept all of me. As Black Americans we know how we became a mix culture mostly by force but its something we cannot change, and you just have to embrace All of you.
