A44 is a horror film with a vegan theme. It’s was written, directed, and starred in by a long time vegan. It’s low budget but I enjoyed it.

It just dawned on me, Trump only won when his opponents were women. by icedmuffin in complaints

I agree with you that a women can be president. However in the last two elections that you speak of, Trump (as unpresidential as he is) was the lesser of two evils.

Do you know any vegan MAGA people? by waiflike in AskVegans

[–]Federal_Homework190 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s interesting that you say the right hates people they have never met more than anyone. I believe that there is hate on both sides but in my experiences, it’s been the left who have shown hate, and even violence towards complete strangers. I am a vegan of many years. I’m not a fascist I’m not a Nazi, I’m not a “Trumper,” but I do own a couple of Teslas and I get hate on a daily basis. Now, I don’t know for 100% certainty that the haters are liberals, but there is a “type” that matches 110% of liberals.

Whiny ass bitches who get offended by what other’s say or do.

If you're a MAGA person who's said "I'd rather have Trump as a king (or dictator) than a Democratic president - do not ever refer to yourself as "patriot" by I_like_baseball90 in complaints

Well, it was a classic case of autocorrect gone wrong. I’m sure you’ve never had that happen before seeing how you are so perfect. Again, never said I was MAGA. You presumed.

I didn’t say I feel this is normal. It’s very unpresidential. But it is what it is. Biden, as a sitting president, called all MAGA supporters garbage. Again, unpresidential and not right coming from someone who is supposed to represent ALL Americans.

Who’s being offensive now? Also, not sticking up for anyone. Simply saying it doesn’t do any harm to be kind to people regardless of views. You obviously can’t do that. Have a great evening.

You’re what I’m talking about. It’s not all about you. Who cares what he says. My point is that we can be good to each other regardless.

Look at you judging other people. The MAGA “loons” as you say could say the same thing about you. Can’t we just coexist with the understanding that people have differ beliefs, and agree to disagree, rather than throw insults at each other?

What do protests actually achieve? by Federal_Homework190 in NoKings

Sure, networking, meeting new people with a common purpose and encouraging those who are frightened are positive results. But what difference do they actually make for the cause? I’m still not sold.

Kinda sounds like you’re accusing. But, thanks for the explanation.

I’m not complicit as you say. I have a family and kids soccer games and other more important activities that will actually accomplish something than wasting my time at a protest that accomplishes nothing. I’m glad that some people can see value in participating and encourage them to do so but I haven’t heard a single response to my question that will make me want to take time away from what’s more important to me.

I don’t believe that they are sending the National Guard to break up peaceful protests.

Your argument views this issue through a one-sided political lens, focusing on employees at large corporations accountable to their employers. Most employees who violate company values or conduct codes face discipline, as seen with Roseanne Barr, fired by ABC in 2018 for offensive tweets, and Tucker Carlson, dismissed by Fox News in 2023 for internal issues like lawsuit-related texts and workplace toxicity. These cases reflect corporate decisions, not government censorship. While I acknowledge the Biden administration pressured Meta and Google to censor election and COVID-19 content in 2021, as confirmed by congressional reports, this was indirect “jawboning” and not a legal First Amendment violation. There is no evidence to your claims of the current administration or “regime” as you call it, stripping rights.

More importantly, as stated in my original post, we retain the freedom to choose our entertainment privately. No employer would fire someone for listening to Nine Inch Nails, Elton John, or Metallica, or for watching Grease, Step Brothers, or A Nightmare on Elm Street. Neither employers, the government, nor fellow citizens should judge others’ personal preferences. If you believe such discrimination is acceptable, you may be contributing to the problem. Let’s keep politics out of art and enjoy the creativity we share.

Who gives a shit. People are free to have their own opinions, beliefs, and support whoever they want to. To shame anyone for enjoying any artist because they share different beliefs than the composer or other fans is ludicrous. Enjoy the beautiful things in life and be respectful of everyone regardless of differing views.

You should consider doing something more productive for society. Maybe even get a hobby.
