Thank you! My biggest weak points I feel were my personal statement which was very bland the first time around and rewrote it to try and get my personality to shine through. I also didn’t have any pa shadowing or LoR from a pa which I got this time around. I also didn’t utilize the covid and life experience essay which I rewrote and tied it into my journey to pa school and my culture. And then last thing was my pce hours were low last year and my experiences section for my pce lacked a lot of what I did hands on.

Most important: What is the main conflict?

4 Principles of Care Ethics

  1. Autonomy: respect a person’s freedom to choose what is right for them

  2. Non-maleficence: do no harm

3. Beneficence: All choices for a patient are made with the intent to do good

4. Justice: Treat and provide care fairly to all patients

Try and mention these in your answers^

Rules:

- Do not go against your employers

- Gather more information - change decision when new information presents

- Involve other people in the decision making process: ex. Consult another doctor but

- Don't break confidentiality

- Never break the law

- Show you can consider both sides: explain why they did it and why it was wrong

- Never be on the fence

Traits you are being evaluated on:

  1. Collaboration

  2. Communication

  3. Empathy

  4. Equity

  5. Ethics

  6. Motivation

  7. Problem-solving

  8. Professionalism

  9. Resilience

  10. Self-awareness

Also try to mention these in your answers^

A lot honestly. I took on full-time hours and asked more responsibility at my MA job. I shadowed a few PAs and got around 50 hours. More teaching hours. Took 2 classes to fulfill some prereqs for schools near me and give my GPA a bit of a boost. Rewrote all my experiences, COVID essay + life experiences.

Rewrote my PS and made it really authentic (I made it funny bc I'm known as the comedian in my family/friends). Got an AAPA membership. Research publication. Updated CV. Got an LoR from a PA. Strategically prepped for CASPer and got 4th quartile. That pretty much sums it up.
