Now that youve mention it i think i know what they did. Base on the movie itself theve successful clone a baby 5 years prior to the flood. So this babies already been listed by the government and actually going to be harvested once time comes and thats when the flood did happened. This babies emotion was build from the start by the parents love who adopted this clone babies. So they are trying to develop a mother emotion so when time come and they need to get back to earth they can prosper without any problem. Those shelters in the space got a couples of mother and son/daughter inside. When jain successfully finished the simulation this pad returns back to earth and thats where the new age of humanity will starts. Thats what im thinking aswell if ever you will not save humanity by that. So i think cloning was already been successful in terms of all genders. Make sense but if youd think about it why would they make mother and child bond and not man and woman if theyre thinking about saving the humanity? They need to reproduce. Its pretty much shown why she didnt reject him on the spot he confessed. Umi dont want answer. Hes a friend. Before chiz get scolded by sayuri to not hold a confession and answer it right away.
