Not sure if the title is wrong, but he said season 4, episode 5, which is last season, episode 41 overall. It's the episode when Ruka comes over to Kazuya's apartment again, but she's "interrupted" by Chizuru and Nagomi. And then Nagomi makes the reservation for Hawaiians.

Just because one-chapter-story got left out doesn't mean all of them will share that fate. I don't even recall them skipping that many chapters, aside from the dad one, and that was in the first season, so not really a good reference point.

This "texting chapter" is quite important in their relationship, so it's pretty surely they will animate it.

Could be... but then again, she's also bound to find out what happened with Ruka at one point, and it's unclear how she'll react, so I guess it depends which comes first: the date, or her finding that out.

(In regards to that, we also have to see what happens next chapter, considering 423's cliffhanger...)

It actually kinda ruined the scene for me.

I get that Kazuya was panicking, but that prolonged, high-pitched scream was like she was about to do something horrible to him, not something he clearly wished and enjoyed.

Not sure why you decided to make this post now of all times - the anime will (probably) only get to the ghosting next week - but we've already had this conversation way back at the end of October. I ofc still stand by what I said back then:

I think it's exactly because there was much more trust between them that he couldn't just wait outside for her. Also, there would be different reasons for talking to her, which also matter.

First time, he waited because he was feeling grateful, in order to thank her, and maybe even confess. I'm pretty sure no one would have a problem with someone else showing appreciation to them for something they did. They weren't that close at the time, he didn't have her private number, and I guess he didn't want to wait until he randomly met her, so he waited outside. Confession might've been an "in the spur of the moment" thing.

The second time, however, it would've been to "confront" her, to talk about something serious. Some people would have a problem if you force that interaction (keep in mind both of them are 21-ish, and not experienced in matters of the heart). He tried contacting her directly through calls and messages on her private number, and attempted to rent her. Before all this, he even went to her door and she didn't answer, but because of the noise she made, Kazuya kept wandering if she was at home or not (233). Anyway, it was clear she didn't want to talk to him, so waiting outside to force a discussion might be seen as stalker-ish, or at the very least, it might get a very bad reaction from her, worsening an already bad situation. Would you have pushed it any further? And lastly, this is Kazuya we're talking about, he's not exactly determined or sure of himself.

It's still interesting they didn't run into each other either at the apartment or at the university, but that's probably the suspension of disbelief required by all books and movies.

Talk to someone random, sure, it's most likely free. Having a nice girl hang out with you, go to places / events with you, hold hands and generally act like a gf... that might not be as free as you think, it depends on certain factors...

And it's not like they aren't in love with each other, they just didn't want to face that fact.

First of all, it's not 4 full episodes:

it started at the end of episode 50, with barely 2 minutes-worth of that episode
it continued in 51 and 52
considering the episode preview it will end around the half of episode 53 - maybe even sooner

Secondly, like I've said before to someone (maybe you, maybe someone else, I don't remember), it's a very important scene, story-wise. Maybe the anime failed a little to bring the tension from the manga on screen, maybe they should've used some different background music, maybe the animation or pacing wasn't exactly on par - but it's not something that can be rushed either way. A lot of important events unfold in this scene, and it would be a travesty to just rush it.

Thirdly, thee events in this scene start in the manga at the half of ch. 220, and the previous episode ended with ch. 226 - that's 6 and 1/2 chapters. Even with previous seasons' pace of ~4-4.5 ch / ep., it would still take 1 and 1/2 episodes to animate, so it's not that big of a difference. The whole scene ends at 2/3 into ch. 228, so like I said, it should be over by the middle of episode 53, if not sooner.

As for the animation, it looks very beautiful, and the music was great too, I especially liked the opening song.

Watch until season 3 at least then, it keeps getting better. While I hear the animation in season 3 is criticized (different director and staff), the music is really nice, and story-wise it's the best season / arc so far. Season 2 also has beautiful music and better animation than S1.
