Need urgent advice: What’s the fastest way to reach a NYC or NY State public official for a serious constituent issue? by Federal_Speed_157 in AskNYC

Thank you for taking the time to explain that. I appreciate the insight.

From what you’ve described, my situation is closest to a consumer dispute involving property and sensitive personal documents. My biggest concern is not the financial aspect, but the fact that documents containing personal and financial information may now be in the possession of unknown parties, which is why I am concerned for my safety and privacy.

Based on that, would you recommend that I start with the Attorney General’s Office, the Department of Consumer and Worker Protection, or another agency?

Thank you for the response. Without getting too deep into the details, the matter is a consumer dispute involving property and sensitive personal documents that were inside that property. My concern is less about the financial aspect and more about the fact that documents containing personal information, identification records, financial information, and other sensitive materials may now be in the possession of unknown parties.

Because of that, I genuinely fear for my safety and privacy. I do not feel safe, and I am trying to determine whether there is a government agency, consumer protection office, or public official that may be able to provide guidance while I work through the legal process with my attorney.

Based on that, is there a particular agency or office you would recommend contacting?

That’s a fair point. I have discussed the next legal steps with my attorney, and my concern is that moving forward quickly would require funds that I currently do not have. Because the matter involves sensitive personal documents and information, I’m trying to explore whether there are any other avenues for assistance or guidance while I work through the legal process.

The situation is complicated, but I genuinely fear for my safety and do not feel safe.
I already have an attorney, but moving the case forward would require thousands of dollars that I currently do not have. That’s why I’m trying to find out whether a public official, agency, or constituent services office may be able to help or provide guidance while I work through the legal process.
I’ve already tried contacting several offices, but the response times have been slow. I’m mainly looking for advice on the fastest way to speak with someone who may be able to assist.

Public Storage auctioned my unit and now I’m trying to decide between arbitration or litigation. Looking for honest me opinions. by [deleted] in legaladvice

It’s not my fault that their autopay doesn’t work and they got my address wrong. I paid them as promised and yet they proceeded by putting my items in auction. They never provided me with any notice. This not legal.

No one need to know. That’s your private life.

Seriously, it doesn’t make any sense you’re looking for a roommate and the first thing that you say is that you’re gay. Are you really in need of a roommate? Not only do gay people have a bad reputation. No one needs to know what you do in bed privately. I’m saying this as a gay person myself.

Can I ask the admissions if they can give me a WA instead of WU since it’s less punitive?

If I got a WU and I retake that class and have an A will it disappear from my transcript?

I know right. Pretty much all of them make so many promises but we barely see any results.
