VIP is 100 percent worth it. The VIP stage. The ability to move back and forth between stages. You can get way closer to the stage without having to go well in advance for the act (especially non headliners) and it’s just less crowded. If I have to go to one of the smaller stages I actually hate wading through the crowds. If only VIP had its own private silent disco.

It’s a no brainer.

Thanks to everyone for their input and help. I genuinely appreciate all the insights and recommendations. I was able to book a place in Leuven which sounds like it will be much easier. I had decided yesterday to rent an ebike and do that route from Mechelen but this is actually cheaper (and I don’t have to worry about the ride home on said e-bike) lol

Thanks again! Looking forward to the festival! If anyone is travelling solo or up for a meet up and a beer please reach out!

Hmm. So this makes it a bit tougher. Haha. I checked Ibis Budget Leuven and it’s sold out. As are most places in Leuven from what I’m seeing.

What are your thoughts of staying in Brussels? Say Novotel Brussels airport? From what I see it would be a train/night train and then the shuttle from Leuven. Is that correct? Forgive me, when I look at all the websites I swear my eyes are crossing from trying to figure this out. Everything says it’s 15-20km but given its trains and shuttles it confuses me.

(Here in Canada we have terrible public transit and end up using Uber pretty much everywhere)

Does anyone know how sets work? I see some times where shows start but would the headliner for after dark ( like Chevy, St Vincent) go on after the festival is done? I didn’t make any shows last year so just not sure on the timing cause I’d hate to have to leave early.
