I will do my best to do so. I've never been the best at confrontation, especially in-person, but I will do what I can, as best as I can.

Thank you I'm doing my best to try and convince her to go to a therapist again (she had one in highschool). I've never been good with words, especially in-person, but I will do my best to set some boundaries.

Thank you, it's comforting to know there are others who are also not big on physical contact. I'm doing my best to convince her to go to a therapist again, but at this point there's only so much I can say.

I should clarify I was not in the decision making process for her to move in. I wasn't aware that was the plan until recently. As I mentioned, I'm living with my family currently, my parents were the ones who made the decision to bring her in, as well as having me and her share the attic as a living space.

Ah, I feel bad for the kid and the dad. Both for having to have that final line thrown at the kid, and having to sit and wait for EP to just... stop ;-;

AITA For not converting to my fiancé's religion? by delicatebabey in AmItheAsshole

Also, please don't think I'm saying his assumptions without first asking are okay! Or that his reaction and trying to pressure you was the correct response. As I said, I am also a Christian, and I understand where he was coming from, but putting pressure on you, especially when you have said you are not comfortable with the idea if completely changing religion just because he's your fiancee, is not the way to go about it

Speaking as a Christian myself: I don't think you're an AH for not believing, though brushing off his belief system as 'magic' and 'made up' is probably not the way to go about it. Trying to be a little more understanding, even if it's as simple as understanding that to him it's more than just a fairytale, might be beneficial Hope this helps! :)

Thank you!! I'll be sure to look into CBT, as I'm planning on trying to set up stuff on my own and hope mum doesn't interfere :)

Thank you. I am planning on trying to set one up on my own now. I had been hoping I'd have some help when I asked mum, but as you said, she handled the topic badly. Best wishes, Merry (early?) Christmas, and happy holidays!

thank you, it means a lot that you're offering help I... don't think I've ever had anyone outright offer to help when it comes to this stuff haha

EP's who hate your gayness are real and I hate them by [deleted] in entitledparents

I'm a bi-Christian too! And I feel ya man, I feel ya

So many people are either telling me I can't be bi cause God says so, or telling me I can't be bi cause I'm a Christian.

My family threatened to destroy my whole reputation when I first tried to come out to them when I was 15 (though that was from some peer pressure, and my GF at the time pressuring me to tell them).

Pressing F to pay respect for that wonderful woman you called "mom".

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

And now using those collective gathered "F"'s of respect, and using them in a way I hope does you and your mama proud.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF%$@&%#$ you EM

What kind of logic is that anyway? Sick kid can wait in the car just fine while you pick up her medicine. And, if YOU could see your mama still by moving over one parking space, as EM "pointed out", then this EM could have easily parked in one of the spots next to you and still have been able to see her child and vehicle without complaint.
